This was a wonderful hotel, wonderful rooms, wondering time. The manager was such a laugh... We will be back :0)

Fantastic hotel our bedroom was out the front with great views. Room cleaned everyday. Staff very helpful and Maria had a warm smile for everyone and a wave at night. Breakfast simple but enjoyable. Could not fault this hotel.We felt this to be the best in Nidri

Me and my wife have just arrived back from Nidri staying at the george hotel, it was our time at Nidri so we didnt know what to expect. On arrival we was met by Khalid with a very warm welcome which immediatly made us feel relaxed. Our room was facing the mountains which as the holiday went on we realise was the best as the room was cooler as the sun was not directly on it was great after returning from a day out/sun bathing, The room was cleaned daily with fresh towels and linen, the room very roomy and bathroom was exelent. the pool area and the lawned area was exelent plenty of sunbeds (free), Maria the owner goes the extra mile to make you feel wanted.Breakfast was better than we have had in Greece choice of boiled or fried eggs toast plus other continental style breakfast . Nidri has a great choice of tavernas and bars, Toms bar which is has tables right next the sea is great Tom and his staff makes you feel very welcome and special. Maistrali taverna on the front serve great food with a wide choice, very friendly owners and staff. We went on a boat trip on the Christina (forgoten islands) full day out it ws great. All in all we had 2 weeks of relaxing, sunshine and great food and drink thanks to everyone we met in Nidri, least of all our Thomas Cook reps Rachel and Lisa. We will definitly return.

Just back from a wonderful holiday at the George hotel. my family and i have been visiting Nidri since 2000 but it is my first stay in the George. My dad recommended it having stayed there 2 years ago, and im happy to say it was as lovely as he described.Its a family run place, and Maria and her brother Marinos are wonderful hosts. All the staff are really friendly and helpful, and cant do enough to make you feel welcome.Khalid the matre di remembered my dad and the welcome he gave him really set the holiday off to a good start. The hotel is set back from the main road in its own little oasis (2 mins from beach and harbour front Tavernas) with a beautiful pool area, outdoor and indoor dining area, (and gardens where you can also sunbathe om the free loungers) Nidri has many tavernas but we ate in at the hotel 3 times as the food was so good, freshly cooked by Marinos and maria (you can watch them cooking from the tabled areas) and the atmosphere is very chilled and pretty with candlelight ,and with the pool area all lit up its. gorgeous!!!! I would recommend this place without hesitation, its a true gem, near to everything but just tucked out of the bustle of the main road and harbour front.i ts has mountain views ,daily maid service (new linen and towels daily) and a self serve all you can eat buffet breakfast. Don't expect a full English, thankfully its not that kind of place, do expect boiled eggs ,hams cheese, cereals, toast, Fresh Greek bread, Greek yoghurts and honey, fruit juice teas and coffee etc , I know sometimes you get back from a place and think youd go back one day well this is one of those places. My dad happened to mention had a back problem and Maria went immediatly to get more pillows for him so he could sleep comfortably ...he hadnt even asked!! good for families, couples , and friends travelling together. a GREAT PLACE....WILL BE BACK NEXT YEAR,. (althoughI may regret this posting this review if its fully booked next time want to go hmmmmm somethings are best kept secret :)
