“Luxurious peace and quiet”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 October 2011

We had the pleasure of staying at Rosemount Guest House for two nights in October. The welcome was warm and the accommodation spacious, clean and very comfortable. We had the double suite which consisted of a sitting room with adjoining bedroom. The room overlooked the estuary, as did our daughters' equally well equipped twin room. The attention to the smallest detail made it obvious that the owners care about their guests. Breakfast was varied and tasty and set us all up well for the day. The village of Kippford is quiet but offers a good base for walks and local sightseeing. The two village pubs cater well for evening meals. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Rosemount and look forward to going back. We throughly recommend it to anyone.

“B&B plus!!”

Recently returned from a three night stay at Rosemount in Kippford and my wife and I simply wanted to echo the opinions of so many others who have stayed here.

We stayed in the Suite and it was just superb.

Having a separate Lounge, with the comforts of reclining chairs and THAT view is definitely worth paying the extra for.

Vanessa & Don are wonderful hosts and the breakfasts are simply brilliant.

Note that for food, there are just the two pubs in Kippford, but you can also get a very nice homemade sandwich at The Ark, a souvenir shop on the front, which we did for a change one evening.

Very oddly, there is no Tea Room in Kippford, which it is crying out for, but there is a very nice one in Rockclffe, the next hamlet along the coast which is a very easy walk away.

Thanks for making our stay so pleasant and comfortable.

“A brilliant place to stay”

We have just returned from our second trip to the Rosemount B&B. It is a wonderful place, run by a friendly, helpful couple. The rooms are beautiful. We have stayed in a double room and the Suite - both of which had the most amazing view over the estuary. Everything you need is available to you, and the conservatory is a beautiful space in which to sit and watch the world go by!
Breakfast is memorable - Black puddings to die for, and everything locally sourced.
Near to many of the 7 Stanes mountain biking routes, so a good place to stay after a hard day on the bike! There is a pub very close, so good food in the evening too!
What more could you want!

“WONDERFUL B&B”

If you are looking to stay in this area, look no further.
My Husband and I have just had a great 2 night stay at this b&b. We have had some horrible experiences at other hotels and b&b's in the past so were very wary. We already knew the area from a previous visit so we looked on trip advisor for a write up on Rosemount Guest House.
We stayed in the newly refurbished double en suite which was excellent, spacious and very clean with views of the estuary and mountains.
The breakfast was gorgeous , all local produce , could not fault it. The hosts Don and Vanessa are very welcoming and friendly.
We were gutted to leave and were talking about how soon we could go back to stay on our car journey home.

Room Tip: the usual , just book in advance
