Popped in for lunch with a friend after a trip to Framlingham Castle. Was worried it was too posh, needn't have worried. The barman had those dreadful stretched earlobe earrings in. The Aspall cider was ok, but not at it's best. Sat at a dirty table overlooking the courtyard. We both thought the prices were reasonable, but then the food arrived. My BLT had very little BL or T and was made with very cheap, supermarket value range bread. The salad was swimming in very strong, mustard dressing. The chips were awful. Aside from salt and pepper on our table, no condiments were available. Had to ask for ketchup which was delivered by a schoolgirl. In fact, apart from coughing, scabby faced bar manager (?) All the staff seemed rather young. The manager stood outside our window smoking!! The loos had definitely seen better days.
i definitely won't eat here again. I'm sure it could be lovely, but appears very badly run.
