The welcome was warm, the Pub and my hotel room was warm (most important that) The menue was a bit limited for a vegitarian but better than most small hotels, I recommend the main course Greek Salad.

The hotel has great character and I noted that (although I do not smoke) there is a courtyard with seating and umerellas which has better shelter than most places for those who need the l'life support system' of smoking.

The beer was good and the whole thing was very relaxing and just what I needed after a long day. There are parking places for about 8 cars, I have no idea how easy it is to park there in better weather but in January it is easy.

I will definately use this hotel the next time I am in the area.

We visited The Crown Hotel in late October 2011. Myself and my partner called in for a drink and did plan to have a bite to eat.
We went in the bar side of the hotel and was greeted by dirty tables and about 3 young members of staff 'hanging out' behind the bar, they were ordering a chinese takeaway! What a great way of advertising the food at the Hotel!?? Eventualy, we were served our drinks and we sat down, we did expect our table to be cleared but it wasnt, i did hint to a young member of staff that i had nowhere to put my drink on the table but he just smiled and walked off. I mean with 3 members of staff behind the bar surely one of them could of cleaned the tables?!
Overall, very disapointing...

I stayed in this hotel for a period of 2 weeks, I thought the service was immaculate and the food was of good quality local produce and cooked to a very high standard. The staff in particular were very friendly and nothing was too much. Very good value for money, would recommend for a good value hugh standard weekend away or bussiness trip.

We stayed for 2 nights and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The atmosphere and charm of this hotel was wonderful. There were a few minor faults that you expect with a building of this age, but overall we loved it. We also enjoyed breakfast and dinner in the hotel and would love to return one day!
