“Couldn't have been Better”

Being a Mumbaikar the only thing that one desires is a peaceful and beautiful getaway from the daily chaos of mechanical living. This ecolodge is just the answer to it. You are at peace from within and outside. Not only is the place beautiful but it's so naturally soothing and calming .....it's as if u r in the lap of the nature. The only sounds that u hear are of the running water the chirping birds and the hummm of the bees quite a contrast from the daily noise of your television , mobiles, honking vehicles, running machineries, yelling people....oooof. Love the peace here and the best part the food is all organic and the cottages are completely Eco friendly usage of thick Walls to maintain temperature and solar energy is used. And of course the very humble and warm host with whom you can just go on about wildlife and bird watching. All in all a very different and beautiful experience.

“Excelent Wild life getaway!!”

'Wow" was my response when i visited this beautiful place. The initial ride through the jungle, the quite and stress free nights of sound sleep, the sounds of the jungle in the morning and the organic food served at this Eco lodge, all was just amazing. I got the perfect get away from my fast and mechanical life to a place where there is no air conditioner, no TV, no honking, no internet, no use chemicals and fossil fuels and only use off alternative sources of energy like solar energy and and naturally grown vegetables. The most striking thing was the way cottages were made where the inside temperature was not so much affected by the outside temperature and we dint feel hot.
I am definitely looking forward to my next trip there, in the foothills of himalayas to experience the winters.

“rude tourism”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 July 2011

Ours was an impromptu trip. Searched on the net, Initially, it seemed pretty
attractive....but the truth was yet to unravel. the owner
was very nice and welcoming....but only till we took the bait. He
insisted, on us getting veggies so we took loads with us. Ride was bumpy,
lonely with no signages whatsoever...yet we took it in our stride. Once we
reached, we were the only ones. Anyway we didnt complain.

Then started the torture. Month of May,,,,reached on a pretty hot
afternoon. There was No electricity. Icing on the cake, No water in the
bathroom. Dirty room....with dust on the floor. Cobwebs all around in the
room, in the bathroom. 2 boys (one was a cook) trying their best .... to
start the generator but nothing.....coz they didnt know how to. Generator
was lying there but it did'nt work,...not connected to the room. After about
2 hours of us standing in the sun with those boys....there is water but we
were told there cant be electricity. By now after getting such a horrible
welcome, we called the owner to give us some suggestion for respite. Listen
to what he said..."providing a fan/ power backup is not my philosophy
....this is eco tourism, you still have time , you can leave. i know how to
run a place and this is it."(these are verbatim his words). We felt this was
Rudeness to the hilt. it was dusk and going back through the lonely jungle
was not a safe option for us. We decided to leave with the first light of
dawn from this godforsaken place. please, i request you all...if you want to
experience Rude tourism...Wildbrook is the place to be, else please avoid it
at all cost.

“The place pulls you back in the wilderness”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 June 2011

A place away from the hustle and bustle of metro town like Delhi. We never believed such cool place ever existed so close to Delhi. An ideal weekend getaway with lots of adventure and excitement to offer. It was a pleasure to see tuskers in their pristine glory and feel the surroundings in absolute harmony with nature. The USP of the place is ecotourism and it is a pleasure to know and practice it there. The bird watching experience under the authentic guidance was an experiance of lifetime. You will love it and Kids will also enjoy it same time. And last but not tyhe least the river rafting is like the iceing on the cake... do enjoy it too....

“BAD TASTE”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 June 2011

I have done eco tourism before and was aghast at the offering Wild Brook gave us. It was a terrific drive and was the only high point of the trip. On our arrival we were given a room which was very dirty the floor baddly needed a sweep and a mop. there was no water as there was no electricity. the generator just lying in front of the room was useless and the help boys told us that it doesent work. i had to call the owner and he then tried to explain me eco tourism and that the fan was against the policy of eco tourism, though they were running bulbs on tractor battries but somehow fans were against the philosophy!!!!!! Anyhow may be I was ignorent of the concept but it surely defy logic. there were two helpers for the entire resort and that too were village boys trained in basic stuff. MY QUESTION IS : Are people fools to accept whatever is thrown on their way because some one has a have baked idea of a eco tourism and they fail to be service provider first> they want people to comply to their idea because they think it is the best and then have an audacity to tell that I know what I am doing, I am sorry Mr Owner, we Indians are not ignorent and demand better services and comfort and when I am paying 6000 rs for 3 people in a cottage where the vegitables server were brought by us. Tourists please beware as you might be also "like us" believe in just words and ruin your holiday.
