We stayed at the Manoir for one night after a two week holiday in Limoges. Le manoir is the perfect option for an overnight stop on the way back to England. We were offered the Cote Verger room which has a small kitchen area. The room was clean and nicely decorated, but it feel a bit damp. The owner gave us recommendation for dinner in Ardres, and La Taverne du Roy did not disappoint.
Breakfast was lovely, with home made yoghurts and jams (try the pear and ginger one, it is a delight!), croissants and toasts.
We will certainly be back!

Our bedroom was in the old lodge.It was clean, quiet, very comfortable and well equipped.
The breakfast in the main house was excellent. The gardens look lovely , and the whole range of buildings are a pleasure to walk around with rustic charm in abundance.
Only 15 to 20 minutes south of the Tunnel it's an ideal stopping off point coming or going into France. It's difficult to see how anyone could be disappointed.

On our way back from a holiday in the Languedoc, we couldn't resist stopping off for our last night at the Manoir de Bois-en-Ardres. It was a wonderful end to our trip. As usual, Francoise and Thierry gave us a warm and enthusiastic welcome, and we were chaperoned to our favourite room (Sousbois). The gardens looked at their spring-time best. At breakfast, it was a delight to be amongst so many other regular guests, who were also stopping of en route to/from the UK. In fact, we were all 'old-timers' on this occasion. The good selection of home made breads, brioche, jams and yoghurt were delicious, and the selection of cheeses was very tasty. There was also fresh fruit, baguettes, pain d'epices and as much freshly-made steaming coffee as we could drink. It is beyond me how anyone could criticise such an abundant, fresh feast. Already looking forward to our next trip to the Manoir in mid-July.

We chose this place following reviews on Trip Advisor, and were not disappointed. We were offered a choice of two rooms, and chose the light painted one. We especially appreciated a bottle of water , and tea/coffee facilities. Facilities in our room and en suite were clean, if basic, but for an overnight stop, just perfect.
The welcome from the owners could not have been warmer, and we had a beautiful and copious breakfast the following morning. We were also recommended an excellent restaurant in Ardres. The price for our overnight stay was very good indeed.
