We stayed here 4 nights. You can go to hotel from the station by bus or you can
walk through charming old wood buildings of this village centre.
From the window of room you can see beautiful Bernese Alps. The rooms are cosy and clean.
The restaurant is little bit overpriced for us, but it's typical for Switzerland.
The big plus - we got a guest card, and after buying Jubgfrau skipass
got possibility to use skibus Interlaken-Grindelwald for free! The skibus stop is just near the hotel. Of course we used it, and had pleasant car-free trip to the slopes. We had great skiing on that New Year days.
The tip for cheese lovers : we bought very tasty chease at the farmer's houses in Wilderswill!
We cannot speak Deutsch and the owner couldn't speak English but we had no problems with buying.

Quaint, Cosy, Charming Excellent Staff. Really family friendly. Have stayed there 3 times now and continue to return to the restaurant since I bought a flat in the village. Food is great for a hotel. Food price is really good. Good sized portions and excellent - ate for about 20chf main and wine. The Baeren is what I look for when I want to take someone out for a delicious meal in a lovely environment with great staff

We stayed two nights here. The hotel is some 15 minutes walking up from the station, but the bus can take you closerby. It is in the small old centre of the village, a charming place. All over the hotel lotes of bears, and a playcorner for children. In the reception a pay-internet, 2 Sfr for 5 minutes, 5 Sfr for 15 minutes. The hotel is made of some buildings connected by halls, and we had a roof room is an annex.The big view of the mountais was visible the whole time. As always in Switzerland, all was clean, the bathroom small but had what you needed. A minus I found the bed, only one although with two matresses, rather soft. so every movement of my roommate woke me up.I shared a room with someone I met on our trip and didn't know before. When asked for another option, I was told that in Switzerland they have only twin beds ( which I know is not true, as we've seen and had rooms with two beds which can be separated).
Dining was outside and a la carte, not many options without meat, and a bit pricy.
Breakfast had a good selection of breads, cheeses, cereals and meat.
On arrival we got a card for free travel to Interlaken during our stay.

clean modest rooms with wooden beams and wooden stairs. We took the two adjoining rooms with balconies on the second floor and the views of the alps were terrific. although it was difficult to carry the luggage in the absence of an elevator, it was worth the trouble.
the breakfast was minimalistic, and could have done with a better spread . the staff were very courteous and the restaurant was good, the Srilankan chef being a standout with his warmth and willingness to accomodate requests.
the hotel provides a local pass which can be used within the Interlaken area and we found it to be very useful
