Whilst we travelling, we were on a budget so always looking to camp, so when in Madrid we stayed here. We should have just stayed in the middle of the city.
The biggest problem here is the location. We walked for 30 minutes to Villaviciosa to catch the bus. From there it's around 45 minutes on the bus untill you get to the main depot in Madrid. That's a bit of a pain. For this reason, unless you're looking for a REALLY quiet campsite that's waaaay out of the way, I would recommend you get a hotel, or hostel if you're on a budget, in the centre of Madrid. In the long run, you will save a lot of time, if not money.
The facilities in the campsite were good enough. The pool seems quite good, but since we were there out of season, it was empty. The shop and bar is basic but it'll do. The bathroom facilities seemed to be fairly new, and were all very clean.
Despite this, it is let down quite a bit by the location. It's a bit like a RyanAir campsite - you think you're in Madrid, but you slowly realise that you're actually miles away! And at the end, you realise that it's really quite expensive for what it is. We had 3 tents and a car, and we payed around 27euros per night. Each!! Next time, I'm getting a hostel or hotel in town. I'll spend a bit more, but have a much better base from which to explore this great city.
