“The Greatest Family Weekend Ever”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 November 2010

I have just come back from spending my 70th birthday at Bryn Tanat and it is difficult to praise it highly enough without starting to sound like the owners press agent.

We were a party of 20 ranging in age from 10 to 70 and one of the beauties of the Hall is its spaciousness which allows people to do their own thing if they want to, combined with large scale facilities for formal dining.

The sleeping accommodation is superb with luxurious beds together the very best of bathroom fittings.

For those who intend self catering - as we did - the kitchen is like a page out of Homes and Gardens with nothing being spared on the equipment, crockery, cutlery and glassware front.

Have a look at their Web-site to get a real flavour of Bryn Tanat.

The Shropshire and Welsh Tourist Boards can do a better job than me of describing but suffice to say that Bryn Tanat is can, within easy striking distance, cater for every taste from wild country through picture postcard villages to historic towns.

I cannot praise this place highly enough

Thank you for such a kind and generous review. We are so pleased to have helped make your birthday celebrations memorable.
While we don't currently have a press agent we will certainly bear you in mind should the post ever become available.

“Beautiful Hall, Great Location, Fantastic Photos”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 August 2010

This is honestly the first time I have had such a good experience that I have felt the need to write a review.

I booked a long weekend at Bryn Tanat for my wife's 30th birthday. It's difficult to find luxury accomodation for 20 people but the reviews and the website of Bryn Tanat were exceptional.

Not long before arriving I had to change the entire itinerary for the weekend due to unforseen circumstances. Susan, the owner, immediately provided me with a range of activities that prioved ideal for a large family group with a lunatic toddler.

The hall itself is stunning, the grounds are absolutely wonderful and the website doesn't do justice to the spaciousness and the quality of the finish of the place. Normally, our family photos are of a large group of us drunkenly grinning in the corner of a pub. At Bryn Tanat we still had the drunken grins but the backdrop was of stunningly landscaped grounds and beautifully featured rooms.

It's well worth the short drive to Lake Vyrnwy if the sun is out. We had afternoon tea on the terrace at the hotel and it's an inspiring backdrop. We returned back to Bryn Tanat afterwards and drank champagne on the lawn and felt like royalty.

We held a charity race night on the Sunday and everyone had had such an incredible time that we ended up making over £500 for our friend's charity.

I would also highly recommend Sally from Sense and Serenity who kept the ladies very happy with her treatments whilst the blokes went to play a guilt-free round of golf.

No complaints at all. The kitchen takes a bit of getting used to with some appliances having been replaces by small space ships but it's state of the art and very well equipped.

A phenomenal long weekend at a fantastic place with very comfy beds.

“fanatstic house to stay in”

12 of us recently stayed at Bryn Tanat Hall and we had a fantastic time. The owners were very helpful and arranged a minibus to take us to Chester races on the Saturday. There are lots of different catering options and whilst none were used on this occassion I would definitely consider them for next time.
The house is immaculate and has everything you could possibly need. It is also set in lovely grounds and feels very private. We were never aware of the owners apart from one very welcome visit from one of the dogs ( which was initiated by me!)
I would not hesitate to recommend this house and hope to be back there in the not too distant future.

“Perfect destination for a family group”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 March 2010

16 of us stayed at Bryn Tanat for the weekend. It was a surprise for most of the group and a week later thay haven't stopped talking about it. From the time I first made the enquiry until after we left the hall the communication was superb, any enquiry was answered immediately.

We were a mixed group (aged 14-84) and the accommodation suited all of us. The whole house was in an immaculate state of cleaniness, it was superbly equipped (could cook in that kitchen for ever if you could just persuade yourself that you can leave such comfortable beds) with a range of facilities. Additionally we were able to travel there on a Friday evening and bypass most of the motorway sytem.

The owners were there if we needed them (which we didn't really) but were totally unobtrusive for the whole of our stay. I would heartily recommend Bryn Tanat to any group as we found there really ws something for everyone. In addition to the facilities and activities suggested by the owners, you may like to know that the Llangollen canal is less than half an hour away with world heritage site aquaducts etc and that boats can easily be hired at reasonable cost.

Thank you Susan and Peter.

“Truely amazing”

There were 18 of us staying to celebrate my husband's 40th birthday and we had the most amazing weekend ever. The house is immaculate, really well appointed and the owners have thought of everything. Nothing was too much trouble - even before we arrived any query was dealt with very quickly and while we were there a couple of issues were dealt with immediately. The catering service that was offered was like having a restaurant in your house. The room was beautifully laid out, the menu choices offered covered all budgets and tastes and the food was gorgeous - high class restaurant standard.

Advantages over other places we have stayed as a group was that there wasn't just one place setting and mug per guest - there were loads. Dishwasher and dishwasher tablets provided - no-one has to do washing up! There was so much space we were spoilt for choice. All the bedrooms are lovely, the bed linen, towels and toiletries make you feel like you are staying in a lovely hotel.

I can't praise this place enough - don't delay - get it booked!
