I've been there in December/January 2011-12 for a couple of nights before the Jungle Lodges.

The hotel is not too far from the airport and is nice and clean; the rooms are big and comfortable, but do not expect "design" furniture. It's the typical Hotel were you can relax at
the beginning or at the end of a trip.

There is also a Gymn for who want to exrecise!

All the people of the staff were very friendly and helpful.

A nice way to start your vacation!

Except for the fact that it's not all that convenient to the airport, it's a great place. We were greeted promptly by a polite clerk who spoke decent English--even though he said he only spoke "a little." Our room was large, clean and comfortable.
The in house restaurant was a bit pricey for the product (we had dinner there), but the decor was pleasant, the food was good and the service courteous. They were in the process of taking promotional pictures in the dining room and we had chosen seats that were in the way. The manager came over, introduced himself and in a very pleasant way explained the circumstances, asking if we'd mind moving. Of course we did, and will watch the hotel's website to see the new promo pictures.
We were not there long enough to use any of the fitness facilities, but they all appeared well kept and well used. I did use the computers and wish they'd had a convenient "use English" option. I had to check our flight status in Spanish which wasn't a problem for me, but might be for some.
If we had need to be in that area again, we would certainly consider this hotel.

My wife and I stayed here upon our entry to live in the country, traveling from North America. We stayed here for just under a week and felt extremely comfortable with both our stay and the price. Very centrally located right off the new highway. I don't think you will find a North American style hotel,of this standard, in that area.

When you were in the hotel you didn't feel like you were so closed to the city. It had more of a resort feel. Being a tough critic, I will definitely give this hotel a big thumbs up.

Rooms where very clean.
Comfort level (including the beds) was top notch.
Service was fair.
Pool was clean. Gym was new and also clean (but limiting with equipment as many hotels are)
Restaurant was nice and service was respectable. Food was middle of the road.
Internet wifi available free and very reliable.

I was in a group of 41 teens and adults who went on a mission trip to Costa Rica (we painted two houses at the largest special needs orphanage not far from the hotel and played with the kids) in July. The hotel facilities were very nice -- excellent breakfast buffet, fitness room, bar, and pool, etc. Most of our group was on the same floor and even though the teens outnumbered the adults by far, it was still quiet! The hotel staff was very accommodating to our needs -- late check-in, early check-out and everything in between! Also, there were three restaurants in very close proximity (a short walking distance) which were excellent for dinner and fit our budgets!
