“Corner Cottage”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 December 2010

Just a word about Corner Cottage which is owned by Sue as well and just next door. This cottage has raised the bar in the standard experienced by my trips around the country staying in self catering houses. It has to be said that its better furnished and equipped than my own house. Well worth a look if you want a little more freedom than a B+B gives you. The local Coop has all that is needed to keep you in provisions as having small kids restricts the amount of pubs and restaurants you can go to. Handy to Lincoln and also made it out to Skegness for the day. Snow on the beach and not a donkey in sight.

“What a find in Halfway”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 July 2010

Needing a base for house hunting in Lincolnshire, found this self catering cottage in Nettleham. Lovely village, very quiet and a 10 minute drive into Lincoln. The cottage is brand new and has everything you could wish for. Very helpfull hosts next door and a garden to relax in. Both bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms, lots of living space to spread out and just take it easy. We had a great two weeks getting to know the area and would love to visit again. Would recommend this cottage to anyone

Beautifully furnished and pristine accommodation. Sue and John are extremely helpful and friendly hosts for whom nothing was too much trouble. Delicious breakfast served in a fabulous conservatory. Very highly recommended

“Highly Recommended”

My parents recommended this B&B to my fiancé and I after they had a very enjoyable stay there in 2007 and we were not disappointed. The village of Nettleham is very quiet and picturesque and the Old Vicarage is a charming and spacious 18th century property which seems to have retained many of its original features. We were warmly welcomed with tea and cake which, thanks to glorious weather, we were able to enjoy in the secluded and very well kept garden. Our en suite room was very clean, beautifully presented and had every convenience you could wish - TV, kettle & tea making equipment, information on the local area etc. The village has about 3 pubs, most of which serve food so there is no need to drive anywhere in search of dinner. A very good breakfast was served in the large conservatory and the daily newspapers were also provided. The property also has private parking behind large gates to the rear. I have no hesitation in recommending this B&B either for a welcome stop-over to break a journey or as a base from which to explore Lincoln and the surrounding area. We plan to visit the Old Vicarage again soon!
