My parents recommended this B&B to my fiancé and I after they had a very enjoyable stay there in 2007 and we were not disappointed. The village of Nettleham is very quiet and picturesque and the Old Vicarage is a charming and spacious 18th century property which seems to have retained many of its original features. We were warmly welcomed with tea and cake which, thanks to glorious weather, we were able to enjoy in the secluded and very well kept garden. Our en suite room was very clean, beautifully presented and had every convenience you could wish - TV, kettle & tea making equipment, information on the local area etc. The village has about 3 pubs, most of which serve food so there is no need to drive anywhere in search of dinner. A very good breakfast was served in the large conservatory and the daily newspapers were also provided. The property also has private parking behind large gates to the rear. I have no hesitation in recommending this B&B either for a welcome stop-over to break a journey or as a base from which to explore Lincoln and the surrounding area. We plan to visit the Old Vicarage again soon!
