The appearance of this hotel looks like a public housing but generally it is good on the inside. The faucet, washing basin are separated from the toilet. The room is bigger than a standard Japanese hotel, and the breakfast is filled with a good combination of Japanese and Western. The salty fish is good for your appetite. If you want western food for the dinner, Japanese Joyfun is abundant in that area and its class and style is close to the American Dennys or Canadian Swiss Chalet. There are loads of options on the road for food and drink. Not far from the Mount Aso Volcano, city center of Kumamoto, and waterfalls of many. Even with the in-car GPS system, it is not easy to navigate the location of the hotel though. The car parking lot is adequate if not more. Overall it would be a nice stay for short-term budget travelers.
