Stayed here for a week in 2010. Nice apartment with enough room for 4 of us. We had a 2 bedroomed unit. Super convenient for the slopes....100% ski-in ski-out. Nice pool & small gym. There is a small ski hire shop literally next door. The main centre of Arc 1800 is a free bus ride away. These are very regular and reliable. Bread & croissants can be ordered at reception.
The main gripe was on arrival. Our booking information didn't tell us that there are 2 parts to Les Alpages....1 and 2. We arrived by private transfer and were dropped off with our baggage, to be told that Alp 1 was in fact about 1km further on. We had to carry our bags back to the main road and wait in sub zero temperatures for the next bus. Frustrating....and worth making sure you know whether you are in Alp 1 or 2 before waving goodbye to your transfer taxi.

we stayed in alpage 1 not the new block !! The hotel is in a good location with ski in and ski out facilities , which work very well . we had expected it to be a bit further out of the town , but it was just a couple of minutes down to the shops . The accomodation is not of 4 star quality , well ours wasn't no 18 a . If you like a nice soak in the bath after a hard day on the slopes you will be very dissapointed , we found that there was never anything more than a trickle of hot water every night which did get annoying , however there is an upstairs shower which had more hot water . The toilet had a dreadfull smell when we arrived and stayed there all holiday , like something was blocked. our friends also commented that there's was the same so i think it must be a problem with the apartments in the block . hopefully they will get this sorted out . I would also like to point out that there is no dvd in the apartment , so if you have small children you might like to bring one with you .There were a couple of issues with the sink as the taps were very loose , just things that should have been fixed . If you take your laptop with you you will be able to get free internet in your room , we had to take ours down to reception as we couldn't get it too work but they were very helpfull and had it up and running in 5 minutes .
Les arcs is a fab resort for all skiers so im pretty sure you will have a good holiday regardless , just dont expect the new alpage block if you are with crystals finest as shown in there brouchure

Firstly I should say that the accommodation is good. The apartment was spacious by french standards, clean and well appointed. The pool and sauna facilities were a great way to unwind after a busy day on the slopes. On that note, the access from the hotel to the slopes is excellent and Les Arcs provides all levels of skier and boarder with excellent, varied skiing.

Now to the bad bit and a word of warning to all who consider staying here. Although the hotel provides 'secure' ski lockers we subsequently found that this is done entirely at your own risk. We were unfortunate enough to be victim of a theft from this secure facility. We locked 3 snowboards and 1 pair of skis away for the night and by the morning they were gone.

Our locker was opened with a key and even locked up again once the thieves had done their work.... It would appear that the hotel staff had been negligent in allowing someone to access the locker key or had facilitated the theft although I appreciate we can't actually prove that. Despite the evidence, the hotel would not admit any liability and Crystal Ski took the same standpoint. They argue that a reasonable level of service was provided and that the storage was as secure as possible but I fail to agree... The fact that the items were stolen seems to indicate that this facility is not secure!

An otherwise excellent holiday can be seriously marred by a £2000 loss!

Anyway, that's my rant over. I just wanted to share my experience to make others aware. If you stay at this hotel, I'm sure you will have a great time and everyone should love Les Arcs.... Just be careful with your stuff and make sure you have good travel insurance. Oh and don't expect much backup from your tour operator, it would seem that customer service is a thing of the past. Needless to say, we won't be using Crystal Ski or this hotel again.

The swimming pool, gym and reception. Its in the perfect ski-in ski-out location straight on to the chatel slope to the lifts. The bus service to charvet and villards is frequent. The apartment i stayed in was for 5/6 people and there was only three of us but there was still not much space for suitcases and clothes. There were two pizza takeaway places a few metres away from the apartment which were very useful when you dont feel like cooking. Overall we had a great time with great accomodation. I would definatly recommend this to anyone thinking of staying here.
