A group of friends, with children in tow, spent a weekend together at Milton Hill House in January. From the moment we arrived the staff could not have done more to make us feel welcome and well-looked after. The food in the restaurant was fantastic, the bar staff extremely helpful, and the rooms were lovely and comfortable. Would highly recommend this hotel.

Myself and my partner stayed at Milton Hill house, in september 2011. When we drove up to the hotel we were impressed by the hotel setting, however when we saw the building in which we'd be staying, the garden wing, we were disappointed, the building was very ugly. As soon as you walked into the garden wing building, there was a damp smell that hit you, but when we got into our room the damp smell subsided. Our room was decorated in a contemporary style which was nice, but the bathroom was small, however we were not bothered by this. We decided to not have dinner at the hotel and instead we found a lovely little pub on the right hand side as you come out of the hotel grounds, sorry I can't remember the name! Breakfast at the hotel however wasn't bad at all. All in all i'd say the hotel desperately needs to look at renovating the garden wing building, as they could make this hotel so much better.

A group of us stayed in this fabulous hotel for a weekend in December. We travelled from Glasgow to celebrate a friend's birthday and were not disappointed! The welcome from reception, after our long trip, was warm to say the least! All staff we had the pleasure of meeting were friendly, helpful and pulled out all the stops to make my friend's birthday so special. The hotel is beautiful, and looked fabulous decorated for Christmas. There are great little extras in this hotel which make your stay all the more special (ie the FREE tea and coffee machines placed around the hotel, bottles of water in your room on arrival etc) The gardens were spectacular (I would love to experience them in summer, too!!) and the rooms spacious. We had rooms in the main hotel and the garden view rooms. All rooms were very clean with beautiful bathrooms and although the garden view room slightly smaller, it was more than adequate and equally as beautiful and comfortable. The food was great (we had room service) especially the breakfast and the dining room staff were more than accommodating, meeting even the oddest of requests from some of our group! We enjoyed the use of the leisure facilities, which were clean and spacious.
We had a great weekend and cannot thank the wonderful staff enough. I would love to return and would recommend this gem of a hotel to anyone!!

We bought a overnight stay on De Vere email offers,it was wonderful value.
The garden wing building is very ugly, but the room was lovely, clean, warm and comfortable.
The staff are helpful and friendly.
Breakfast buffet looked dry and tired as the dining room was not busy,but when I asked for fresh eggs they were cooked at once and brought to our table.
The hotel is about 12 miles outside Oxford, so drive to the park and ride to get into the City.
