My wife and I stayed three nights Oct 8-11, 2010. Easy access from Interlaken, hotel stay included a Gästekarte/Visitor's card which gives guests free access to local buses and discounts at a number of restaurants and museums. Local bus picks up 150 ft from the hotel and takes you to the Interlaken West or Ost train stations. From there, take the cog train to Jungfraujoch. The Residence Golf is a separate building next to the main hotel - rooms are comfortable but very poorly lit, ONE available outlet by the front door, internet signal very weak. Clean linens and bathroom and nice terrace area outside on the mountain side shared by four rooms. Noisy rooms - all adjacent room noise travels right through the walls. Breakfast is nicely presented in the main building, European style...hard or soft boiled eggs, cereals, cold cuts/cheese, bread & jams, coffee/tea/juice. Dinner at the hotel restaurant was OK - not a wide selection of entrees.

We stayed two nights here and were very comfortable. The room had a balcony and great views of the mountains and you could hear cowbells. The nearby road was a bit noisy but we were glad not to be in Interlaken itself which looked a bit naff and touristy. The staff were really pleasant and the food good – the evening meals were superb and people were obviously coming from elsewhere to dine here, not just residents. There was a bit of a golfing theme to the décor but we didn’t feel uncomfortable as non-golfers. I don’t think most of the guests were golfers! We drove around Lake Thun – most of the way round it is simply gorgeous.

It was a fabulous experience during my whole stay here.Nice staff monica and the hotel owner Sonja is too good.Best hotel in my whole tour to Swiss.Nice view of Alps was from my Residence hotel.price is also not so expensive like other hotels in Swiss.Even they are providing local transport free of charge!It is only 3 Min. distance from Interlaken East station and 5 min. from interlaken OST rail station.
Me and my wife enjoyed a lot in this hotel,got most of the information about para gliding and other must see attraction from the hotel staff itself.
Room service was not be so prompt in residence type stay.

My husband and I made reservations at the hotel restaurant early in the afternoon. When we arrived at the time of the reservation we discovered the staff had sprinkled fresh rose petals on the table. What a nice surprise and how thoughtful. The meal was traditional swiss and the best we encountered during our time in Switzerland. The location of the hotel was just out of town, but close enough to walk to shopping or take a bus. We found the hotel quiet, clean, friendly and very relaxing.
