We spent CHF235 for a 2 nights stay which is happening right now. As I sat here, I have already killed 7 flying insects in the 2 nights (and given that we do not stay in alot, we typically only get back to the hotel after 9pm, I think 7 insects are too much!). The previous review is very right about the aircon, due to the lack of aircon, the room is very stuffy, not really hot as it has been rainy over these 2 days. We had to open the window to let some air in, thus that explains the insects. The other minus of the hotel is really the long walk from the Interlaken West station which is challenging when travelling with suitcases (especially in rainy weather) and also if you get back late at night, the street can be too quiet for "comfort".

The room itself is basic with pillows as soft and thin that one probably end up with a stiff neck the next morning. The bathroom is very basic with very narrow shower cubicle which I wonder how can it fit bigger people. My husband and I did not have a problem with it but just thought its too narrow for comfort. Breakfast is basic but sufficient and they have little nice touches of complimentary tea and cakes for teabreaks in the afternoon. The lady who checked us in is very helpful and friendly.

A final conclusion is that I would not stay here again due to a super long walk.

the manager of this hotel is lovely, very generous with her time, advice and attention...but the lack of ventilation made the rooms very warm at times and the dining room manager was rude to us. the bathroom shower was extremely small and the towels were thin, as well.
the views and location is terrific, but the issues really marred the overall experience...

We had a family room for four which was very spacious. The children had their own room at the back seperated by the bathroom and foyer area including table and chairs. We were on the top floor with two balconies. One looked straight at Jungfraujoch and the other on the side of the room over the river and town. The staff were very helpful and the breakfast was excellent to start the day. Although it rained during our stay there was still plenty to do. The trip to Top of Europe was well worth the expense with amazing views and it snowed at the top on the day we were there. There is a laundromat five minutes walk down the road. Had trouble with wifi but this was quickly sorted out. The room was very cleaned and kept up to a high standard during our stay. The outlook over the river was beautiful and able to be enjoyed late into the evening. There is no doubt we would return to this hotel and hope to one day soon. Switzerland is an expensive place to visit but we felt Hotel Goldey was good value. Thanks for an excellent stay.

Bit pricey but worth it! Beautiful location, peaceful, good food friendly staff mid point between the two stations
