Booked a house over a year in advance. Deposit of €180 was paid immediately. When I tried to cancel within a few days of booking the manager was insisting on keeping the deposit. He eventually agreed to return €150 as it was still over a year in advance, promising to return the final €30 when the house was booked the following year. When contacted 7 months later about the return of that €30 he was downright rude and now said he would return it only when all the houses were let. But what really shocked me was the arrogant attitude from a manager in the hospitality industry. Ireland's reputation in this area would be poorly served by such a person. Try the Lis-Ardagh Lodge in Union Hall or indeed any B & B in the area would provide a better service. Customer service should be a priority, this manager has much to learn!
