Bitterly disappointed in this hotel after a week's stay. It has such potential to be a true 4 star hotel, however falls short in all areas. The previous review is correct - DO NOT EAT HERE, as all the meals are pre-preoared and frozen, and the chef fails to heat them through fully, leaving you open to food poisoning. The Costa Blanca is renowned for fresh food, so it is unbelievable that this hotel serves up frozen, sub standard food such what i ate. After two nights of this, i decided to try the local cuisine in nerby El Campello, and then Benidorm. The problem with this is, as i had no car, i was reliant on public transport, which is nigh on impossible. The Tram runs fairly frequently, approx 30-50mins in both directions, however is a good 2km plus away from the hotel up and down steep hills - not suitable for anyone but the very fit! Taxis must come from Alicant, and charge you for transit as well as your fare, and there is a bus which last returns to the hotel at 7pm - no-one eats dinner this early! It si at least 15 euros to El Campello, and you must ring a taxi.
The rooms are only serviced every third day which means in a week long stay, i only had this once - and it was simply change of sheets and towels, no cleaning, and no toilet paper restock! Not impressed. The rooms are noisy adn you can easily hear the neighbours and the cleaning staff outside.
Staff are hazy in their sharing of local knowledge with you, only on the third day did i manage to get a bus timetable, and complaints about the restaurant and food issues fell on deaf ears. The managers reply is simply "these things happen."
Do yourself a favour, look past the cheap rate and spend the extra 20euros on a more decent hotel closer to one of the other towns where you wont have this problem!
