“trucker stop, very noisey! nowhere near like website pictures”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 May 2011

we chose this hotel after checking out pictures online but it was nothing like it. we needed a stop over between santander and barcelona and thought it would be ideal. althou it is advertised on many english websites the staff who checked us in didnt understand us at all and we couldnt understand him with our very limited knowledge. we had booked and paid for a double room not a twin room like we were given but after the challenge of checking in (with our confirmation email) we thought it was too hard to try explain this. given it was late we went to bed but it was so noisey! there were people up and down the corridors shouting and banging about till 2.30am (despite our room being right at the end) the road outside was very noisey as was the petrol station. not ideal when we were getting up and leaving for 7am.
the bathroom could have done with a good clean with grime and yuk around the bath and on the tiles in the shower and we had to jam a towel in the window as if you stood in the shower the people in the road and petrol station could see you haveing a shower.
on the plus side there was loads of parking as it was pretty much a truck stop, right off the n road and about 5mins drive from the toll road.
after a rotten night sleep i think it was def a rip off and not worth the 49euro we paid

Room Tip: definately needed to be a fluent spannish speaker

“Great for an overnight stop”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 August 2009

As described by others. Behind a filling station & in a lorry park but don't be put off. Good value overall with quiet rooms with good aircon (very important) & a good restaurant. The menu we had was 12.95 euro's and had a wide choice, prompt & friendly service. Has a pool a well if you've go the time. The sort of place to stay whilst travelling & close to some great sites to visit to see things like dinosaur footprints.

“Popular with lorry drivers, therefore it must be good.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 May 2009

We chose this hotel because we needed to stop overnight on the road between Santander and Valencia. The hotel was well constructed beside the old N road and has probably only gone down-market since the motorway came along and took away the private motorists. Lorries prefer not to use the motorways in Spain and tend to use the N roads. The room was well maintained and the bathroom was first class with twin basins. Free wi-Fi. The aspect from the window was spoiled by air conditioning units and dozens (and dozens) of lorries obscuring the view. Never mind, one does not arrive at a spanish hotel until late in the evening because the restaurant does not open until 9 pm. The restaurant was excellent, and was very full by ten past nine. The menu del dia had extensive choices and very imaginitive. Three courses with bread and wine cost €11 per head. It is no wonder the lorries stop there. The total bill for 2 of us including dinner, bed and breakfast was €83. We will be happy to stop there again on our next journey.
