“happy customer”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 February 2012

A big thank you to all the staff at Hellaby hall for making my 40th birthday party the most memorable.
The staff were very willing, graceful and spot on.
The rooms were clean, warm and comfortable.
There was not a single hitch in the whole day.
It was perfect.
The spa was lovely. Its a pity that two of my friends missed out on treatment.
We were late at arriving and checking in, however they were really nice, polite, and we were able to use their little room for drinks and fruits.
I was able to do everything as stated on my IV.
I left a very happy and satisfied costumer. THANK YOU

“Groupon deal”

Agree with all charliep1979 says in his review.
Sat Nav took us to the hotel's goods entrance on an industrial estate (hotel close to M18 junction). Entrance is actually off Bawtry Road.
Beautiful old frontage to hotel, but bears no relevance to your stay as most of the rooms are in the newer part - it's like an old motel type hotel, long corridors. We went using a Groupon deal and expected a country house hotel! Not what I'd expect 4* to be. Having said that, nicely decorated reception and restaurant, friendly efficient staff, full English Breakfast was excellent - hot plates and yummy food.
Room ok, decor like Holiday Inn Express, very comfy bed, warm room, thick curtains. Only gripes - naff tiny toiletries, stained lampshade, more tea/milk needed and room a bit dated.

“Overnight break”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 February 2012

Check in was efficient and friendly and we were given all information we needed. We were given a room away from delivery side as requested on booking. The room was ok (made me think of premier inn) but was clean. The towel rail didnt work and the bathroom was a bit cool. Room was too warm overnight but there was a thermastat on the radiator. The bed was nice and comfy. A long trek on corridors so if you struggle walking you would need to tell them when booking. Nice clean spa, swimming pool etc facilities. The breakfast was spot on. It's only 15 mins away from Meadowhall if that. A nice relaxing stay. We went on a groupon voucher and although lovely we wouldn't pay full up price.

“Great gym and spa”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 January 2012

Good location just off m1. Rooms a bit tired. I hated fluorescent lighting in room. Executive room not worth money.
Old hall buildings are lovely. And bar and restaurant very nicely decorated. Breakfast was disappointing they'd run out if croissants at 9.30.
And room service was a bit poor. Nice friendly staff though and great gym and pool.

“Good wedding but soulless hotel.”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 January 2012

Attended an excellent family wedding which was well organised and catered for.Unfortunately the hotel was otherwise soulless with long and cold corridors. The executive room was minimalist and physically cold.A request for an extra blanket and repair to the nonfunctioning bedside light produced no response.Overall good wedding but poor hotel, certainly not 4*.
