“Awful stay, avoid it!!!”

Stayed recently, booked two rooms as travelling with our 2 sons, called the hotel after booking online to request 2 rooms together, one twin, one double, told them we were arriving late & she told me she woudl allocate rooms together near reception, . Arrived at 1am & found rooms were not next door & had only 1 double bed in each, there was no heating turned on & rooms were freezing!!! went back to reception to ask for the sofa to be made up, was told she was NOT ALLOWED to make up any sofas & it wasnt written into the book, even showed me the book & if it wasnt in the book housekeeping wouldnt make it up, I told her that I called a couple of weeks ago & who was I speaking to then, she couldnt work the system, ( I am a hotel manager myself & told her how to look on opera) she then told me it was the manager of the WHOLE building who had updated my reservation two weeks previous but never alllocated a room with a sofa for the kids... had to make the bed myself... not good enough, even a B&B can make up beds when they get it wrong, very basis requirment. The beds were saging in the middle & need replacing along with the tv that has a purple hue all around it.. they dont understand how key cars work, they are not meant to have stickers stuck on with the room numbers available for all to see...couldnt believe it. left first thing in the morning, didnt even use the showers... so so very basic & below par. do yourself a favour & give this one a miss

“Our weeks holiday at Pembroke Dock Travelodge”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 October 2011

Me and my mother go away every year to the Tenby/Pembroke area, and this year we decided we would go and stay in Pembroke Dock Travelodge. I have a lot of knowledge of Travelodge's so I knew what to expect, but I must say I was very suprised when we arrived at Pembroke Dock. This Travelodge is absolutely fantastic and I would recommend it to anybody who wishes to stay in the area. The reception is large and has it's own seating area, the receptionist's were all really nice and friendly. The rooms themselves were much better than expected. We had 2 rooms and they were both large, warm, very nicely furnished and had large bathrooms. It is the standard Travelodge layout as you would expect but it is more then adequate. The beds are very comfortable and the rooms was immaculately cleaned. We stayed for 4 days and would deffinately stay again. My only gripe is that the TV's were very basic and only had minimal channels, but this is a Travelodge thing not just pembroke dock. The local area is very nice, although the Travelodge is situated on a roundabout, the rooms were very quiet, I didn't here a single noise in all the time I was in my room. The Travelodge is opposite an Asda, Wilkinson and Lidl, and a huge Tesco is only 5 minutes walk away. We used the Tesco and found it to be more than adequate. There were many restaurants in the area, we visited the Shipwright Inn & Welshmans Arms and recommend them to anybody who's staying at the Travelodge. All in all a fantastic stay and we look forward to staying again.

Room Tip: "Rooms at the back of the hotel are quietest" "Have a room on the first floor so you...

“Reasonably Comfortable”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 October 2011

Basic accommodation providing a bed for the night with a shower. Reasonably comfortable but in this area the lack of a restaurant was an issue because we took a long time to find one in the town.
I think £49 is expensive for this type of budget hotel but it seems to be becoming the norm now.
