I stayed at this hotel in December 2011 after attending a wedding.

I arrived to check in and was told that the room I booked was the only room that had not been refurbished. I was told that there was a refurbished twin room I could have. I explained that myself and my partner were not going to sleep in separate beds and asked why I had not been informed of this when I booked. I did not get a satisfactory response.

The room was like a throwback to the 1980's, with pink peeling wallpaper with a navy border. There was filler all over the walls.

There was no iron, or ironing board. The furniture was rickety and definitely past its sell by date. The bathroom was a beige suite, shaped like a shell and the walls again had filler here and there.

The skirtings were scuffed. And to stay in this lovely room, we were given £10 off, and charged £60. It was disgraceful. I have paid £28 a night to stay in a travel lodge, which had a far superior standard.

Daylight robbery!!!

My Husband And I Went There For A Friends Wedding, We Got There Was Very Disappointed In The Room, The First Impression Was The Windows Were Dirty The Room Was At A Poor Standard, Then Went Down To The Wedding Dinner And The Starter Was OK The Main Was Delicious But The Desert We Had To Choices Of Desert But Both Were Frozen. The Staff Were Brilliant There Though. We Left The Wedding Party To Go To Bed About Half 11-12 But The Music Was Still Playing Till 2pm And There Was Loads Of Noise From The Drunken People Downstairs We Couldn't Sleep Because There Was No Sound Proofing Or No Respect For The Other Guests With The Music And Noise. It Was Not Worth The Money For The Room And Will Not Be Returning Again.

Stayed there for two nights and could not fault the place, the staff were friendly, the food was good. The room was comfortable and, even though I had booked a single room, I found that I had a double.
I could see from their website that weddings etc could be held there so I expected it to be noisy on Saturday evening and, even though I don't think that it was a wedding there was a party with a live group. If you read things properly you have to expect these things and I feel asleep listening to music of the 60s.
I would have no hesitation in staying there again.
