We stayed on Saturday 4th February for one night, having stayed in the Hunley at Brotton the night before.
The room we were in (number 24) was in poor condition.
The tiles on the bathroom floor were raised. The grouting had worn away and one of the tiles had lifted so much it cut my foot.
The window in the room was single glazed wood with awful drafts.
The paint on the furniture was chipped and looked shabby.
The 'garden room' restaurant was an old wood lean-to style conservatory with very drafty windows and drips coming through the roof.
The food portions were small and not cheap.
Oh and the deer place next door is now closed to the public according to signs on the gate.
The staff, however, were very nice and polite.
