Stayed in the Durlock Studio for 3 nights for a weekend getaway.
The Studio was perfect for what we wanted. It was cosy, clean, spacious and comfortable.
The bed was comfy and there were 2 bedside lamps so you didn't have to get out of bed to switch off the main lights before sleeping. The television had freeview so lots of channels to choose from. Wi-fi was available which was great as an important football match was on and my other half "needed" to check the score regularly.
It was a little bit nippy in the lodge at first (it was a January stay) but found a huge blanket in one of the draws and there was another heater inside the wardrobe so we were as snug as bugs after that.
Hairdryer and iron was provided. The shower was powerful and the linen and towels clean and soft. The kitchen was fantastic- had a little fridge, kettle, toaster, microwave and a fab oven with hobs, so we cooked each night. A nice touch was a selection of cereals and hot drinks which were provided.
Mr Sworder was very helpful and kind. The studio was booked at the very last minute and he sent the confirmation promptly. He recommended a number of local restaurants and pubs. We went to the Bell Inn for a drink and it was lovely there.
Great stay- would definitely go back to the peaceful and quaint village and stay in the studio happily and comfortably.
