We stayed here as the wake for a family member was held here.The function room had a Happy Birthday sign on the wall. When asked if it could be removed,we were told it couldn't be as it was painted on. Not very fitting for a wake!
The room itself was depressing,the window was rotted through with just a block of wood pushed against to stop the draft. The bed felt authentic 16th century,very large springs and uncomfortable.The taps were even the wrong way round i.e hot right cold left.
Breakfast was a joke ,pick any 6 items from a menu! for £85 a night I don't think the owners understand what standards need to be reached to command this price.In short -stay elsewhere .
