I stopped over for two nights and must admit these were the most attentive staff of any Holiday Inn in the UK. The service was first class both front of house and in the resturant.
This hotel is located in a good spot for Chester and North Wales situated on the A55.
Thye large bed in room 118 was one of the most comfortable I have used. The food was very good with a wide choice and an excellant selection.

My wife and I are occasional visitors to this hotel, usually in December.
We use the hotel as a stop over when we visit a local theatre.
We have always been greeted with friendliness.
The rooms are of a very high standard and the facilities excellent.
The breakfast has a large choice and the food is very good.
We have always looked forward to our visits and have never been disappointed.

On arrival at the hotel we received a very friendly and informative greeting and an efficient check-in. Our room was extremely well appointed and equipped and very comfortable. We dined quite adequatley in the hotel reastaurant, and slept well. Breakfast was generous, pleasantly served, and well presented. As with the check-in, the check-out process was efficient and pleasant.
The only problem we had during our stay was a very minor one..... the television channels did not match the ones in the information book in our room. However, we were able to find what we wanted by searching, and the receptionist assured us that the housekeeping staff would re-tune the receiver at the earliest possible opportunity - and we are quite confident that this would have been done.
All in all a very pleasant and relaxing stay. Thank you Holiday Inn, Chester West!

Seems to have been refurbished recently - nice rooms with air conditioning shower and bath. Site also has a McDonalds for a cheap breakfast or pay £10.50 fog in-house. The OK diner is also next-door - burgers n shakes but cheap.
