Just back from a 2 night stay. Booked through a groupon deal so excellent value for money. Hotel is in a fantastic location, and although I wouldn't describe myself as a keen outdoor enthusiast, there was some lovely walks around the hotel and the scenery was spectacular. This was our first trip here and we will definitely return. We ate in the hotel on both nights and the food was outstanding and beautifully presented. Staff were very pleasant and couldn't be more helpful. Couldn't fault it.

What a perfect place for a weekend away. The hotel is beautifully appointed - not at all what you might expect from a hotel frequented by walkers on the West Highland Way. The service was fantastic & the amenities (like huge sitting room with log fire & free wi-fi) were perfect. The food was nothing short of awesome, beautifully prepared & presented and it tasted divine. We came on a Groupon deal & it could not have been better; we will definitely be back. Very, very impressed.

Outward appearances may deceive, as so many small Scottish hotels don't come up to scratch. But this is a great exception. The welcome is very warm, the service is outstanding and the food is great. The staff are very willing and helpful. The bedrooms, all different, are very comfortable, with all mod cons. People stay here for different reasons - they might be walking the highland way, on a climbing or walking holiday, or merely stopping on their way north or south to or from the highlands, but it has something for everybody - excellent rooms for those who want them, or a bunkhouse for those who are on a budget. Altogether an excellent place to stay

In one word, this hotel is frustrating! Why?

Well I have been here no less than 3 times but have as of yet been able to stay here! Due to this hotel being very popular there have never been any free rooms to stay :( !!

Recently travelled up to here on a whim as fancied a bit of excitement with my fiancée and wanted to show her some Munro's as shes never been up north, so off we set only to get here and they have no rooms again ! Oh well! 4th time lucky?

Have had food here as well as drinks and have to recommend it to anyone passing, this is a really nice place! Maybe one day I will get lucky and get a room next time I am in town!

Staff have been nice too, more so last time I was in (The receptionist, maybe from Australia, not sure!) was really nice and shared a bit banter with us and suggested an other hotel few miles away!
