After arriving late with my daughter, the dinner took a little while to be prepared but was worth the wait, and noone could mind waiting when the view from the dining room is so magnificent!
The staff were friendly, warm and very attentive at dinner and this attentivness continued after we went to our room. I discovered my bed was broken, and in no time at all they had apologised and remidied the problem.

We had a very pleasant evening here, nice evening meal and breakfast and a large room . We were on the top floor, but we had small bags so it didn't matter. We were travelling on an impromptu visit to Scotland, so did not pre-book (in fact over our 6 day trip the only night that was a bit of a disaster was booked) . We called in to a couple of 2 star establishments that were charging £40 per person, so as a couple this was much better value and a more homely environment.

We stayed at the end of a 10 day break in Scotland and were left completely perplexed by this hotel. Lovely location and the potential to be excellent but the arrangements and organisation appeared to be made on the hoof. Whether it has changed hands recently I dont know but there had been flood damage apparently and it was almost as if it shouldnt have been open - we were the only guests which made us feel very awkward. The regular owner/manager was not present and had left in in the hands of friends who were pleasant but hadnt a clue. I would definitly want to check recent reviews again before any revisit

Don't judge this hotel by its magnificent appearance. 'The proof of the pudding is in the eating' and in this instance I would opt for a different pudding. Three star rating is inexplicable. The management team clearly have no understanding of expected hotel standards. Unfortunately, an extremely poor advert for Highland Hospitality.
