“Missing you already !!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 February 2012

We stayed in this hotel 27th to 30th January 2012 in one of the balcony rooms...And I challenge anyone to find a better view ANYWHERE !!!. This hotel is not the Hilton..nor does it claim to be... but what it is, is well situated..clean and tidy...with very helpful and polite staff.. we have been here on numerous occasions...it never gets tired.. we love it here..and will look forward to our next visit. We would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a romatic break..or a more vigerous activity break..Something here for everyone.

we stayed in onich hotel at end jan 2012 and found no faults other than the games room was lacking in some of the dominos and draughts and kids games but had a pool table and dart board . the lounge was very quiet although this was not to my liking it probably made others happy we mostly stayed in games room where we could shut door and put mucic on tv . we never had an evening meal but breakfast was excellent . the staff were super helpful and very friendly this hotel is a great base to visit oban glencoe fort william and would recommend a drive up coast road leading to mallaig this must be the most stunning scenery in britain

Room Tip: ask for loch view which is away from road

“Pretty Location”

Stayed at the Onich Hotel in Decemer. The Hotel itself is in a beautiful location. However it needs a refurb. The room we stayed in had "hello" written in the dust on the wall behind the bed, and a dead mosquito greeted us on the dtessing table, really not a good sign of the houskeeping at the hotel. The staff were frienldy and the girl that checked us in on the first night was very helpful. We dined the first night but wasnt brilliant, our choice of meals was not available. Breakfast was ok, although the vegetarian sausages were a complete disaster. Completely uneadible. All in all the Hotel needs a good clean, and update.

“Recharge the batteries”

If you are looking for a warm, friendly welcome and a sense that nothing is too much trouble then the Onich Hotel is the place to go. The hotel itself is clean and comfortable, the food is good, the views are spectacular, but by far the most impressive feature is the staff, who really do make you feel welcome. We opted to take the dog with us, which was definitely the right decision. Perfect days spent walking (the Great Glen is a must!) and perfect evenings spent in a cosy environment with good food, company and the dog asleep at your feet made it feel a real home from home. I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel and the surrounding area. A car is required to get to and from places and one final pointer - take the free trip on the Corran Ferry nearby, however, if you want to stop for a pint on the other side- don't go on a Monday or Tuesday at this time of the year - it is closed!

“A lovely stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 January 2012

Onich Hotel is a lovely, quaint little hotel that makes you feel very welcome, almost as though you're being taken into a person's home (that happens to have a breathtaking view!). If you find it shocking to pour your own wine (the horror!) or to not be surrounded in five-star accommodations, the Onich is not for you. Our room was comfortable and clean- it had everything we could need- and we enjoyed a nice dinner down in the cozy pub restaurant. Again, if you faint at the lack of a tablecloth (haha...) please move on! It's a pleasant, down-to-earth place that seems to employ and cater to the same type of people. We had a wonderful stay. And our view from our room was simply stunning!
