“Ok”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 August 2011 via mobile

I only stayed for one night. Cant comment much really apart from the fact i couldnt get the room to heat up. I arrived on a motorcycle in the pouring rain and needed heat. I turned it up to the max but never really got much heat. Staff were ok, not particularly friendly bit maybe im comparing it to the place i went to after which was amazing. I dont think i would stay here again.

“Will never eat here again!!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 August 2011

I did not stay at Inchree Lodge but ate in the Four Seasons Restaurant on 16th August 2011.
Service was very poor and when we complained we were told as we had not booked we could not expect the same level of service as those that did. One examlpe of this was customers around us had drinks orders taken at their table. We waited at least 20 minutes for a waitress to come to our table and when we asked to order drinks we were told because we had not booked we had to get our own drinks from the bar. The restaurant was not busy but if the staff felt that they could not cope then we should have been told on our arrival.
Two meat courses were not available but not told of this for 10 mins after ordering.
Food was bland but as we had waited over an hour we ate it. On clearing the table the waiter asked if we had enjoyed our meal my husband told the waiter his bolognese was tasteless and the waiter shrugged and then said "well it didn't stop you eating it". I hasten to add we did not complain but when asked for feedback we answered.
I could list many more faults but to be honest I can't be bothered. I don't think it will change anything. The manager refused to come out of the kithchen and I have contacted the restaurant directly but they have failed to respond.
I can only presume they must rely on hotel guests and custom from the caravan site as I would be stunned if they ever get repeat business.

“Good value for money - a home from home”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 August 2011

We stayed for a week in a 3 bedroom lodge with our two children aged 10 and 14, paying just £380. We stayed here twice pre-children and always vowed to come back. It is still owned by the same people and was exactly as we remembered it but the accommodation has been refurbished. The chalet was in a stunning location with a grassy area and picnic bench in front for our exclusive use. The chalet was spotlessly clean and very well equipped for a self catering holiday. There was plenty of room for all our gear with a superb drying room for wet shoes/boots/coats next door. There was also a basketball net and ball and giant draughts next to the chalet. We could get on the internet from our chalet and had one meal in the onsite restaurant which was delicious and not badly priced. A friend stayed here last year and enjoyed it so much it spurred us on to come back.

“superb value accomodation in stunning setting”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 May 2011

stayed in a 2 bedroomed chalet with a friend in may 2011. we were surprised at how nice the accommodation was for the price payed. we had a spotlessly clean kitchen, comfy beds, and a bathroom with a shower. the lounge had a great view over the loch (as did one of the bedrooms).
we ate in the pub/ restaurant on 2 nights out of the 4 that we stayed, and the food was great. good choice of ales and whiskey at the bar. only fault i can find is that it would have been nice to have had some more bar-like meals!
be sure to check out the trails around the lodges, particularly the one that goes to inchree waterfalls.
will definitely stay again at inchree.

“Perfect spot to explore the mountains.”

Inchree lodge was perfect for our recent trip to walk up Ben Nevis. We booked 2 chalets for 9 people and we were easily accomodated, with plenty of room for bags, supplies and people. The rooms are a little tight and the steps upto the first floor can be painful after a long walk, but other than that they are spot on.

Location wise, they are just 8 miles from Fort William (approx 15mins by car) and only 20mins from Ben Nevis, so perfect for our requirements.

We didnt sample the food here as we went into town, but the bar is very nice and was busier than the bars in town on the saturday night, and i have to say the quality of the draught beer was superb considering it was a small pub/bar.

So overall, for just £40 each for 2 nights in the beautiful Scottish Highlands, you really can't go wrong.
