The vegetarian options for starters and mains were absolutely spot on. Imaginative - not the sort of thing I'd have cooked at home - and tasty. I shouldn't have eaten the bitter chocolate tart, but it too was excellent.
A nice touch about the accommodation was the provision of ground coffee, a cafetiere and fresh milk in the bedroom. The mattress was very comfortable, and the linen good quality. The only gripe I had was that the heating didn't come on until 8 o'clock in the morning. That said, the manageress explained that she and her partner had only just taken on the Wife of Bath, and until people mentioned things like this she wouldn't have known. It had been, by the way, the coldest night of the autumn so far.
I noted too that the TV reception wasn't very good - not sure if this is down to the hotel.
