I had my wedding reception here in october 2011, the hotel and its staff made my day fantastic. Great service, very clean! Friendly staff. Greatly run by the manager, very child friendly, great food i will definatley revisit,i am going to book my childs christening there. Xx

through my buisness I stay in a lot of hotels and I have to say this was one of the best so far. Excellent welcome upon arrival very clean rooms well equipped with everything needed to make my stay comfortable. Very friendly and helpful staff who are willing to accomadate most needs of the guests. would definately stay again if I am in that part of the country.

Stayed at the Belmont whilst working locally for 4 weeks. The hotel is always clean and tidy and rooms immaculate. All the staff and management are always more than welcome to help in any way they can. The food is of a high standard and requests are accomodated for if not on menu. I will ne returning here in future when I work near thorne again.

This hotel has been refurbished recently, I have been using it since the 90's and only saw marginal improvements.

However, staff very friendly and accommodating, breakfast is good value and the price for a double is very reasonable considering its central location.
