Stayed in July. Very comfortable and most enjoyable, beautifully located. Dinner was delicious, breakfast was scrumptious. Our stay was most enjoyable. We travel with our rather large dog and they were very accomodating and helpful. Many many thanks. We hope to stay again.

I had booked a hotel in lechlade for the evening but cancelled it at the last minuite due to poor reviews. Having searched for another hotel locally i stumbled upon the"Fallowfields country house". The reviews looked good so i proceeded to book 2 rooms for 4 people as i was with my wife, brother, and sister in law. We were not looking for a wild all singing and dancing evening,just something relaxing and low key.Upon arriving we were greeted by a loveley receptionist katie, who escorted us to our rooms.Both rooms were first class,clean immaculately decorated,and very spacious.We were informed that the hotel was holding a gala dinner evening for new years eve and asked if we would like a table reserved.Our initial response was" no thank you" but after speaking to katie it was emphasised that this was a very informal low key event being attended by the owners anthony and peta and sean the chefs family and a few close friends. We opted to attend and what a fantastic time we had, the food was first class also the service. We were entertained with a pianist and an excellent magician. Not to mention benjamins (head waiter) michael jackson moves !!!!.Having watched the london new years eve firework display and wishing everyone happy new year i thought we would be heading for bed....How wrong could i be , we were all invited into the bar for a drink or two!! by sean . We met a few very nice people during our short stay and will definately be returning here again soon. Would recommend this hotel to anyone for whatever the purpose of their visit..

This manor house is elegant without being too stuffy. The property brings you back to a bygone era ... it made me feel like I was taking part in one of the nursery rhymes we learned as children ... The entire area of the Cotswalds is perfect for touring, walking, & driving from village to village. The restaurant at Fallowfields is superb as is the "high" tea ... We would love to return some day ... This review only allowed me to enter our traveling date as January, 2011 ... this is not accurate, as we were there a couple of years ago in July ... beautiful time of year in England.
