“Second to none”

We have never felt qualified to review any Guest House before having never returned to any others for a second visit, but after returning from our tenth or so visit to the Fairhaven, I think we are qualified! Plus the fact we are now "regulars" speaks volumes. You will not be met by more genuine and friendly hosts than Kelly, Liz and Keith, their hospitality should set the benchmark others aspire to, it is obvious they love the Fairhaven and love to welcome their guests. The rooms are second to none - spotless, comfy, well decorated and relaxing. The breakfasts are spot on - and believe me this is a speciality area of mine!!! Relaxing in the lounge in front of the log fire on a cold winters evening is to be highly recommended. All the little touches that the "team" do from the welcoming coffee and cakes to drying your walking boots to giving you tips for visits and eateries, make a massive difference.
Try the Fairhaven and you will return - it's as simlpe as that
Nearly forgot - all this in a wonderful village setting that is tranquil and picture postcard perfect

“THE FANTASTIC FAIRHAVEN!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 November 2011

I've recently returned from a second stay at the Fairhaven. What an absolute pleasure it was too! The welcome you receive from Kelly, Liz, Keith & Richard is second to none. I have never met such friendly and caring hosts. From the beautiful cakes & coffee on arrival, the superbly comfortable bedroom, the delicious Winter Warmer supper on arrival night to the 1st class breakfasts, everything, and i mean everything was perfect! I really cannot praise this guest house and it's hosts highly enough. They made me feel as if it was home from home and always found time for a chat. I was sad to have to leave on that final morning because i had experienced such a wonderful stay that i really didn't want it to come to an end. But...there's next year to look forward to & i fully intend to return to the Fairhaven as soon as i have a chance!
Thankyou Kelly, Liz, Keith & Richard for making my stay so special & so thoroughly enjoyable. Hope to see you again very soon!

“Going to North York Moors, Don't Stay Anywhere Else But Here!!”

I've stayed in hotels of all grades all over the world, but I can safely say that Keith, Liz and Kelly take customer service to heights you'll not experience anywhere else. Nothing is too much trouble and they are so proactive and go well beyond the call of duty in looking after you.

The House facilities are surperb including the great lounge with an open fire. The daily breakfast is excellent and if you are doing the 'Winter Warmer', the quality of the evening meal is fabulous.

This was my third visit and I can safely say that if you are visiting the North York Moors, don't look at anywhere else to stay.

“!st Class B & B”

Well where do i start??? What a truly lovely place to stay. House is very welcoming but not a welcoming ad the hosts!!! They made us feel welcome from beginning to end. The room was spotless, everything we need was at hand or if it wasnt it soon was. The lounge was huge but seemed cosy and the breakfast was just lush.
We were at a wedding in the village and they gave us a lift to the venue and even provided us with torcehs for coming back...they think of everything.
Would highly highly recommed. Well Done Fairhaven.

“This guest house ticked all the right boxes”

From the moment we pulled into the driveway on arrival until our departure two days later we were pampered with attention - without going over the top.
Keith helped us in with our luggage and then parked the car, while Liz and Kelly greeted and made us feel at home. With such a spacious guest lounge filled with books, and games, it was almost a shame there was so much beautiful countryside around - it was begging for curling up on the sofa for a good read.
The bedroom was a good size with a very comfortable bed and a well appointed en-suite.
We were spoiled for choice on the breakfast menu and everything was prepared beautifully.
The overall, and lasting, impression was of the natural friendliness of Keith, Liz and Kelly which established a very relaxing atmosphere. We hope we can return someday soon and heartily recommend the Fairhaven as the place to stay when visiting the North York Moors.
