“A really really nice place”

We were given an overnight stay at the Gamekeeper's Inn as a Christmas present, it was excellent, from arrival to departure, the Inn, the room, the service, the staff, the food, & the setting were all of a very high & warm welcoming standard. we were allowed use of the lesiure facilities as well, the swimming pool, sauna, steam room, & jacuzzi added to a very relaxing day.
Definatley one to visit...

Ps, they even allow muddy boots & pets (there is a jar of dog biscuits on the bar)

“Wonderful evening”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 January 2012

We dined at Gamekeepers on New Years Eve and it was wonderful. I could have licked my plate !! Chef Rudi and staff created a great evening, I can't wait for next year!! The pub and restaurant have been a welcome addition to this fabulous Park.

“First time, but certainly not the last”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 December 2011

We stayed over the weekend of 17/18 December and enjoyed every minute; a warm welcome on arrival and shown straight to the rooms - absolutely gorgeous. Simply and beautifully appointed and brought a "Wow!" and "Awesome!" from our children (kids that aren't easily impressed, it has to be said!). Well stocked hospitality tray with lovely homemade shortbread biscuits in the shape of snowmen ("cool" and "minted"). A fabulous evening meal followed by a comfortable night's sleep set us up nicely for a relaxed breakfast in the conservatory lit by winter sunlight - magical! Totally faultless from beginning to end, with friendly staff who genuinely wanted to please. Thanks so much for a lovely time - we'll be back!!!

Room Tip: We occupied two rooms, but there's a family room too

“Outstanding!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 November 2011

Stayed for one night in November and was suitably impressed. Compared to one of my other reviews (White Cross Bay in Windermere) the Gamekeepers and Long Ashes Park have hit the nail on the head. Great food and accommodations in a fantastic setting. Will be back soon.

Room Tip: We stayed in the gamekeepers which only has a few rooms, not aware of any good or bad rooms, ours wa...
