We stayed here for three nights in January 2012. The rooms are clean and modern and good value for money.The only criticism I can find is that our room did not have a safe and was very light at night because of the corridor lighting outside.
However I would recommend them as a good place to stay

As walk in we asked for a room in the AB Motel and stayed there for 2 nights. It has really no atmosphere, staff is unfriendly but it is a good deal. We chose a room beside the roadside for only 80 RM, beachside bungalows are a bit more expensive. We git a spacious room which was more or less clean. Each room has a TV, aircon, a small balcony and a fridge. From the outside the whole motel looks more inviting than from the inside, but it is ok. The bathroom was quite nice and clean and the hot shower was really excellent. Beds are ok. Bring your own mosquito net, if you are sensitive to mosquitos. It is situated right on the beach and beach access is easy. There are lots of restaurants in walking distance - we just found it difficult to find a decent place for breakfast, as this is not included in the room. If you are allergic against cats be careful. There are lots of cats in the motel, they are hanging around the rooms and if you leave the door open, they are quite fast to jump on your bed!

We have been to Langkawi in May 2011 and boarded at AB Motel. The hotel is at the center of Pentai Cenang, themost happening place in the island. Scoter rentals, island hopping tour operators, water sports, restraunts and evening market, water world are all at walking distance. The hotel is on the beach and cost 120 ringitt per night and very neat and clean, and really worth staying.

Best part of this place is the location - it is in the middle of everything... you can find plenty of restaurants and marts nearby. We made a reservation over Internet, without any deposit. I had a concern if the room is not secured, so a week before arrival, I emailed and they reply my email promptly as confirmation and I'm glad when we arrived we managed to check in smoothly.

Our room is located on the opposite of the road. Can't expect much in terms of the service, we had to carry our own luggage across the road. The room is clean and very basic - with air-cond, hot shower, towels & soap bar provided and tv with limited local channels. No water bottles and breakfast were provided. We were ok with it as we only stayed for a night.
