I stayed in Bintan Lagoon Resort from 21st Jan to 24th Jan 2012, on arrival reception was good and staff was keen to help, Check-in time was at 12:00 PM but Staff gave me the room way before the time. Rooms are pretty good and comfy. Breakfast was okish with Mostly Japanese food and if you like Sea food then its a fiesta for you. They also have Italian Restaurant which is also quite ok and food was good.
Room Service was very prompt and they are happy to provide you extra things whenever required.
They have a beautiful pool and recreational center where you can spend quality time.
Golf lovers can enjoy nice golf course provided by the resort, i didn’t went there so can’t comment on what it was like.

This resort is very far from everything, no market, no adventure sports, no tourist spots and what make it worst is for going everywhere you have to pay handsome amount of money (min 25SGD), The only thing you can njoy near is beach and to be honest beach was okish and guards were really not letting ppl to njoy the waves. For me the saddest part was you cannot go out for a dinner to any other place as this resort was cornered.
Overall in my opinion if you are looking for a vacation where you just want to relax in beach and want t enjoy Japanese food then this is the perfect place, but if you are looking for shopping, adventure, food etc. then please check other options as well.

Booked a villa, angsoka villa, at bintan lagoon resort for a weekend stay with my family.

Made an error booking and turned up at the hotel one day late. We made our bookings with holiday bagus, a travel agent in Singapore. Think there was a miscommunication between me and the agency that results in the wrong date booked. Anyway, susan and Janice from holiday bagus were very friendly and helpful throughout. We spoke to the reservation manager miss Tita at bintan lagoon resort and she agreed to waive off the no-show charges for the previous night. Miss Tita was extremely polite and helpful during the whole ordeal.

Now for the resort, the villa is very big and comes with a buggy and a personal swimming pool. The furnishing inside the villa was a not worn out and old though but I thought it was good enough. Clean rooms with clean beds. The personal pool was clean as well. The beach at the resort was clean with very fine sands. However was not able to swim due to the blue jellyfish in the waters. There were a few restaurants in the resort and understand that the jap restaurant was good but pretty pricey and we decided to give it a miss after seeing the price and ended up having dinner at "kopi-o", the coffee house for the weekend steam boat and grill buffet at S$38++ per pax. I found the soup pretty saltish and not much of a variety for the buffet. For grill, they only had the chicken and the beef and some sausages. The chicken was nice but beef, it's not to my liking as they did it pretty well done, making the beef pretty dry and hard. Another restaurant by the beach, named rice was pretty good, romantic and modern settings but pretty pricey too considering local standards. Did not have much time to explore the resorts facilities. The public pool was big though. The resort had free shuttle service from the jetty to the resort. The resort itself was big and they provide each villa with a buggy for commuting around the resort. The golf course within the resort was great too.

Overall, quite a pleasant stay at bintan lagoon and truly appreciate miss Tita hosplitality at the resort, an asset to the resort really. Thank you miss Tita for the pleasant stay at bintan lagoon.

very good hotel with nice piscine and good services , not very far from Singapour by ferry boat

I got a cheap rate on the room - only about $120 per night for ocean facing room. However, the other reviews are correct about the food and price. So voerall, the total price for the holiday was about average. Make sure you ask for a non-smoking room! The smoking rooms stink!

The Italian restaurant is not very good ($65 per head). The Japanese was very good ($100 per head). The buffet is basic buffet and a bit of a food fight. The 3 degrees restaurant was not good foos, but a great location. Poolside lunch is not bad. Also, they sell decent coffee at the cafe in the main lobby, and decent western deserts.Try getting a taxi ($22, one way) to Pasa Oleh-Oleh and go to the Bintan Idol restaurant. It has music and good food, cheap beer. You will pay about $35 per head, and they drive you back to the resort for free. (You pay in Singapore dollars here also).

At the resort, the best deal is the driving range (incredibly cheap). Tennis ($10 per hour). The bike ride was good. Golf is $150 per head, so don't bother unless you really love golf. Massage is also pretty reasonably priced.

Wine costs a fortune. we brought our own in our bags and put in the fridge.
