This lovely resort, with a clear and clean stretch of white sand beachis most hospitable and welcoming. The basics are like any other good 5 star property in GOA. But few unique features are:
the dinner time music- amazing country music or folk music. which u cannot get out of ur head for about a yr untill its time to go there again.
2. the beach and the beach side golf course!- the landscaped area looks gorgeous
3. the swimming pool with the small bar built into it.
4. the variety at the buffet

all in all the package is great and the services are excellent. Will plan a trip again, pretty soon :)

Just got back from this resort yesterday and I am gutted, me and my boyfriend had such a brilliant time, the staff were fantastic, couldn't do enough for us, dont book sea view room, completely not worth it, cant see the sea and is more money and the room is not very nice, but went to reception and got our room changed straight away. Only thing is the prices of food and drink, can get so much cheaper if walk 100 yards so they should think about changing prices of drinks especially if they want more people to hang about there and have drinks, a third of the price on shacks

We have been visiting Goa for many years and we have always stayed at the Holiday Inn at Mobor Beach. This year we were changed at the last minute by First Choice to the Ramada. We found the Hotel very good. The staff were helpful and really pleasant, nothing was too much trouble. The rooms were excellent (rooms 131 and 135). The beach was beautiful, very relaxed and quiet. The food in Capricorn beach shack was very good as was Monica. No complaints at all regarding the Hotel, every thing was great. BUT.....the only fly in the ointment were the greedy Taxi drivers camped outside the gates. We used them several times and each time the price was different for the same journey. These Mafia Taxi drivers spoilt our holiday, as we would have loved to return to the Ramada but for the extortionate prices of these Taxi Drivers. Out of necessity we needed to travel as we have made many friends near the Holiday Inn. We have booked to return to the Holiday Inn for next year. Sorry Ramada, get rid of the money grabbing Taxi Drivers at your Gates and we will be back.

We visited this hotel of Xmas and New Year, having had our Holiday Inn, Cavelossim booking cancelled by Thomsons, and paid £800 extra for upgrade to deluxe room. First room was excellently fitted out but small. Was shown several others and am now puzzled as to how they define de-luxe! Ended up with larger room overlooking the pool (213) with decent sized balcony again very well fitted out. Found management and staff very helpful at all times - including negotiating for a different room - and in all areas, particularly John and Das at the pool. The grounds of the hotel and the beach gorgeous. The siting of the hotel is fine if you are all-inclusive (we weren't) and don't want to look around the local area much. However choices for eating out in beach shacks or restaurants very limited and generally poor quality. We walked to Cavelossim (5 k) and Benaulim (5k) along the beach. The taxis outside the hotel are overpriced.
The biggest issue was that this time of the year coincides with Indian and Russian holidays and the hotel was totally dominated by these two groups making up 95% of the hotel clientele. Russian people on holiday are not pleasant, have no concept of waiting making buffet meals a bit of a nightmare, and are described by some staff as "always angry!".I would add apparently permanently hungry!
If this hotel was in Cavelossim I would definitely consider going again but sadly, because of where it is definitely not.
