“Truly A Hidden Gem”

Stayed almost 2 weeks and became almost a home from home, due to the ever welcoming and untiring hospitality of Linda and Tim. This area was a return to the past as I grew up in a small cottage in Bradgate Park. Linda did everything possible to help me rediscover links, using her local connections. This B & B's terrific location makes it easy to explore Bradgate Country Park, Charnwood Forest and the surrounding villages. Our lovely, spotless room was in a tasteful barn conversion with lots of character, adjoining the main house. There is a private guest sitting room with inglenook fireplace, which provides a quiet place to relax in the evening. Wonderful healthy and delicious breakfasts including fresh farm eggs, fruit and homemade jam. During our stay the B & B was featured by the BBC as a place to stay in the area. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and will have no hesitation in booking again. David & Gail, Victoria, British Columbia, Canada

Room Tip: We stayed in a large room overlooking the courtyard

“Phenomenal place to stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 August 2011

We stayed at Horseshoe Cottage Farms and last month for my mom's wedding, and Linda's house was the best of our trip. The house is beautiful with a stunning location across from Bradgate park which is great for walking. The rooms were immaculate and Linda's breakfasts were wonderful. Homemade jam and fresh raspberries. Would highly recommend staying here!

“wonderful hospitality and a beautiful setting!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 August 2011

I stayed here with my family for my wedding at Prestwold Hall at the end of July. I can honestly say that Linda (the owner) could not have been more welcoming; nothing was too much trouble, and she made us feel truly relaxed. We were served fresh scones and tea when we arrived, and I was given the use of her dining room to get ready in the morning before my wedding. Linda even brought out glasses of fizz to celebrate while we were getting ready! The rooms are beautifully appointed, traditional in style and very comfortable. Breakfast is delicious and plentiful, and the gardens are really lovely. The bed and breakfast is located directly across from the entrance to Bradgate park; perfect if you enjoy walking, cycling or photography. If you are looking for stunning accomodation in leicestershire with warm hospitality then choose Horse Shoe Cottage Farm, you won't be disappointed.

“Fabulous B & B”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 August 2011

Had a wonderful time staying at this lovely B & B for 4 nights. Linda & Tim couldn't have been more hospitable & every need was catered for. A beautiful location in the countryside but close enough to town if needed. Hopefully will get the opportunity to return one day.

“Fantastic & Will be back with my Hubby”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 June 2011

I was on a four day training course and was booked into Horseshoe Cottage Farm for 3 nights. All I can say is "what a wonderful experience". Linda and Tim were perfect hosts where nothing was too much trouble. It was home from home where you were made so welcome and nothing was too much trouble. Linda is a fantastic cook. A superb dinner menu with locally sourced and home grown produce and breakfasts to set you up for the day. The bedroom was a superb size - with all the special touches. The shower gel and hand soaps had such fantastic smells. Thank you Linda for making me so welcome. I will be back with my "Hubby". See you soon.
