Hotel Felmis is a 20 minute bus ride from the Lucerne train station and downtown area. The bus system in Lucerne is reliable and easy to use, so it's no trouble getting to and from the hotel, even with luggage. The hotel is literally next to the Felmis bus stop. If you do have a car, there's a parking lot across from the hotel.
We had a double room, which is basically two single beds pushed together. (The comforters were even separate, but if you're married to someone who tends to steal the covers, that's a nice treat!) The TV was easy to use, and the hotel has free wi-fi. The shower pressure and temperature was excellent, and the entire room and bathroom were quite large, comparable to the size of a Hilton or Sheraton room in the US. When you leave the hotel, you lock your room key into a wall system and take a smaller, unmarked key with you, for security. The smaller key also opens the hotel's front door in case you're coming in late.
A continental breakfast is included with the room, and it included a cold meat tray, hard boiled eggs, fruits, jam/jelly, yogurt, coffee and espresso, juices, cereal, pastries, and bread that was so good it made me want to steal the loaf! There is a restaurant on-site, but we did not try it. (We opted to eat in town instead.)
