“Beautiful and relaxing stay!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 April 2010

A friend and I stayed here on our visit to Europe last May, and I have to say that the experience was absolutely outstanding. There was a miss-communication about the room price with the fellow that we spoke with on the phone when we booked the room (they quoted us a lower price than what it should have been). When we were checking out we realized the discrepancy and without hesitation the manager gave us the original price that we were quoted. The manager went above and beyond my expectations to make our stay enjoyable. My friend's father had a mishap while we were there one night and we got back to the hotel late and hadn't eaten (the hotel kitchen was already closed), my friend went to sleep while I was up starving. The Manager opened up the kitchen just to make me a sandwich and get me a few glasses of wine and also provided me with some company.
I have never received this level of service from a hotel!
I can say that the rooms were fantastically comfortable and the views were breathtaking! My fiancee and I are planning a trip to Europe next year and are definitely planning on staying here!

“Spectacular and romantic”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 September 2009

This is ne of the prettiest boutique hotel imaginable. It started out as a private mini-palace built around the beginning of the 20th century. We couldn't resist and had to take the not-so-cheap triplex tower suite. But it was worth it: Breathtaking views in all directions, lovely and bright decoration and furniture, wonderful bathroom and even a kitchen (which we didn't really need). Breakfast buffet was included in the price and very nice. Lovely terrace, very friendly staff. Just absolutely delightful.

Not recommended for people with any kind of motion handicap: no elevators, lots of steps everywhere.

“A Wonderful Stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 June 2008

Two adults and our thirteen year old daughter just stayed at the Villa Engiadina for one night on our way to Italy from Zurich. The Tower Suite is a unique and magnificent suite of rooms that can't be described in words. The two bedrooms were smallish but finely decorated, the bathroom was large and modern and the Tower room provided a panorama view of the mountains and valleys surrounding the area of Vulpera. One needs to go to the Villa's website to truly appreciate the structure of the hotel which is both playful and elegant...it has been renovated to a level of quality that indicates no expense was spared.
We had a dinner in the Villa's restaurant that compared well with any four star restaurant and breakfast was very satisfying. The managers, Achmed and Harry were welcoming and very attentive and the restaurant staff provided excellent service. The hotel was spotless inside and out. We are seasoned travelers who appreciate unique and luxurious accomodations and this special hotel and beautiful surroundings will not be forgotten. We sit in a charming hotel in Lucca, Italy tonight and wish we were back at the Villa Engiadina.
