I stayed here in October, 2011 for two nights prior to a cruise. We are in our 60s, and I could not stand the thought of lugging our luggage into the city of Venice after 24 hours of travel. We took a 3 minute shuttle ride to this hotel and I was so pleased. The rooms were modern, the food adequate (nothing special) and the staff very helpful. The bus for about 2 euros stopped right across the street and in a short time (15 minutes) you were in Venice. It made it very easy for us--into the city to enjoy the sights, yet didn't have to deal with luggage on the bridges, water busses, etc. Leaving the hotel and turning left, there is a little restaurant (first one) where I enjoyed the best pasta carbonara I have ever had. And very reasonable. All tolled it was a very positive experience for me cause I didn't have the hassle. If you need to experience Venice totally, not for you. But it worked out well and made it an easy stay prior to the cruise. And oh yes, there was a taxi service (about $40 maybe?) directly to the cruise ship on the day of departure.

Hotel is very close to airport and there is a city pass to use public transportation and vapuretta which is to use in venezia.
There is a gourmet shop a building after the hotel, should visit there to find italian food and wine alternatives.
Hotel has a transfer car from airport to hotel.

After staying at three other Marriotts in Italy, this place was a huge disappointment! Granted, it is only 15 minutes from St. Mark's Square and offers bus service just across the street, but it is not a place I would recommend if you are looking for real quality service or food. I see it as functional and convenient at best! As for Venice...it is everything I expected and more! This Courtyard, however, is a place to consider only if you want to be close to the airport.

I picked this hotel for it closeness to the airport, Marriott and ease to get into Venice. Our trip was cut short in Venice, I had been sick and my husband pulled his back out, so taking a train from florence, draggin bags into Venice would not do..so I had to switch plans.. this is a very nice hotel,..clean, great beds..Italy overall ,has hard beds...so, this was like what we Americans are use to..plush bed..nice staff, very helpful and professional....breakfast was very good..room was nice size and view from our room is nice, could see Venice in the distance. dinner was also very good....there is a bus across the street into Venice, about 15 min..it really worked out much better then I even thought...I recommend this hotel with 5 stars...+ bus to airport..it was a lovely experience...Venice is wonderful, just like the pictures and I will return to spend more time...only a day and a half & i was sick for 1 day...!Venice is charming, I understand the charm....and what makes people want to be there! + it was classy!
