Cannot comment on accomodation as only ate there.Hotel is still under renovation, lovely driveway to hotel entrance. We were directed to the bar for our a la carte meal, trying to be contructive here! to be honest it was poor, my starter was mushroom stroganoff served in a pastry tartlet with crisp leaves, it arrived on a slice of white bread? strogonaff was tasty. crisp leaves were soggy due to being served in the sauce. My partner had deep fried austrian cheese with apple and chive compote, this was very unpleasant chip shop batter burnt on the outside and the cheese was cold on the inside, apple compote was tasteless more like apple puree as used in pudding making. My main coarse of chicken breast stuffed with tomato provencale was good although chive sauce was devoid of taste, Partner had pork fillet with mustard sauce, pork fillet was served as a whole piece of meat, again badly burnt all over, roast potatoes were soggy??? Both meals served with mash which was nice and creamy didnt bother wth sweets.Only one other person was eating at the time so there was no way kitcken was under pressure, hotel has bags of potential for the future but food has a long way to go.If management read this article please fell free to reply as i would willingly discuss the above.
