“What a stunning property and beautiful location!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 September 2011

We enjoyed a wonderful, relaxiing stay here at River Tides. The property is absolutely stunning right on the banks of the river, Our room was very comfortable and spacious, the Breakfast was delicious and our hosts were so friendly and accommodating. We wished we would have booked for 2 nights. We recommend this B & B to anyone traveling in beautiful Newfoundland.

“very welcoming”

I was traveling alone and the owners left it to me to decide how much interaction I wanted with them. I choice a higher level of interaction having been along for a week already and they were incredible hosts.

It was nice to be able to walk along the roadside and/or river bank.

Take the road slow. Despite the immaculate kept yard and entry, the county road needs work.

“Great hosts, beautiful home and surroundings!”

We stayed at River Tides on our way to St.John's from Gros Morne and were very impressed! Ron and Beverly are great hosts! We felt right at home in their B&B as did our 2 year old... They were so good with him and we would go back in a second! It is very clean and the house and rooms are beautiful! The property is gorgeous - too bad it rained we would have loved to spend more time outside there! Breakfast was wonderful as well although Ron was disappointed he wasn't able to cook a full breakfast for us (we were still stuffed from the night before and opted for oatmeal with blueberries) LOL! They truly were one of the best places we stayed at in our three week visit (stayed 8 different places). They do not have wireless but had no issues letting me check my emails... They are a great stop over if you are going from West to East or vice versa as they are not too far off the Trans Canada :)

“Beautiful relaxing view and surroundings; wonderful house & hosts”

This beautiful bed and breakfast is set along the banks of a river. It has been naturally landscaped with the yard blending into the riverbank and a path leading down to the water's edge. We woke up to the view of the river outside our bedroom window & then had our morning tea on the porch - incredibly relaxing! The house is new and the suite that we had was immaculate and inviting. Perfect for our family of four with one bedroom of twin beds & one with a double bed. Ron and Bev were very warm and welcoming, and gave us a lovely breakfast as well as some good travel advice & local newfoundland phrases! It was a wonderful halfway point from St. John's to Gros Morne.

“An unexpected gem”

To get to River Tides B&B, you travel down a privately maintained road. The house is lovely and peaceful. You are greeted by Ron and Beverely who enter your life as strangers, but leave as friends. They made us feel so comfortable and welcome. The bedroom was very clean and attractive with an incredible view. We watched a beautiful sunset over the Exploits river. In the morning we saw loons swimming and enjoyed a delicious breakfast. We were sorry we were only able to stay one night, but hope one day to return.
