“A truly Italian experience”

My wife and I spent a glorious week at La Tavola Marche in October 2011. It was exactly as we expected, the location, the rooms, the cooking and eating experience, the whole package. Ashley and Jason are very generous and welcoming hosts and their combined experience in hospitality and cooking makes forthe perfect farmstay and cooking school. Every meal was superb with plenty of variety across the week. Our room was very spacious and the bed extremely comfortable. Despite being on the 1st floor there was no noise in our apartment from above or below and even though the weather was on the warm side for October the rooms remained pleasantly cool. The cooking school was a great experience - the freshness of the ingredients and the authentic local recipes made it a great discovery. Other guests who were there at the same time as us made for an even more enjoyable experience. I cannot recommend this property more highly.

“Absolutely wonderful time”

Four days at La Tavola Marche just flew by. My daughter and I took cooking classes while her fiance, a chef himself, ate what we cooked under Jason's tutelage and pronounced it good! The afternoons were great, too, a hike to the medieval ruins overlooking the farm (Ashley told us how Umbria owns a tiny bit of the hilltop and one-ups Le Marche on road maintenance every year), and another day over to Apechio for the truffle festival. The rooms were ever so comfortable and the weather was just perfect.

Room Tip: Fragioli for three people.

My best friend Tracy and I recently returned from a travel adventure to the hills of Italy to visit La Tavola Marche. We were welcomed by Ashley and Jason, who were our Italian tour guides for the next 5 days, and I must say they did not dissapoint for a minute!!! When we woke up the next morning, the sun was shining and the view from our room of the mountains was absolutely unreal! Our room was the size of (or bigger!) than our NYC apartment back home and boasted 2 bedrooms, a full kitchen equipped with a kitchen table and chairs for 4 and a sitting area, perfect for browsing the Italian cookbooks and magazines in the room. It would definitely be comfortable for 4 people. Each morning we enjoyed the most amazing coffee I have ever had (special thanks to Jason for starting my coffee addiction)...Dunkin Donuts doesn't come close! Only to be followed up by handmade pasta for lunch and something new for dinner each night. Not to mention drinking local wine all day long - I was in a great mood! I wouldn't pass up taking one of Jason's cooking classes, where the food is truly from their garden to the table. Ashely and Jason are SO knowledgable about the area and trust me you will not be bored for a minute! They can provide you with plenty of day trips and activities that are a short distance from their B&B. That is, if you even want to leave the comforts and beauty of La Tavola Marche - a place I have not stopped dreaming about since I left!

“Bella La Tavola Marche”

My wife and I spent a wonderful week at LaTavola Marche. It has a lovely rural setting, yet it is just a short drive from several towns and the beautiful and historic Urbino. Ashley and Jason were first-class hosts: from the moment we arrived we felt welcome and were made to feel at home. Our room was excellent and the view superb. Ashley and Jason provided tips for travelling and exploring the area, which we put to good use. We came to view the local town, Piobbico, as our very own and enjoyed coffees at the Crazy Bar, bought porchetta e panini con crusta from the visiting vendor's van and spent an amazing afternoon at a food festival in the local castle. We had the time of our culinary lives when we took Jason's full-day cooking class, a ten-hour extravaganza, save the compulsory two-hour siesta to recharge ourselves. And then we shared the fruits of our labours with six other guests in the most delightful setting and an atmosphere of good-will and friendship. We recommend LaTavola Marche without reservation.

“Great time in la marche”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 October 2011

Ashley and Jason were great hosts. The cooking class was really hands on! Our friends really liked the ravioli we made.
Ashley had great ideas for what to do in the area. We went to food fair,an olive farm, a motorcycle rally with truffle tasting.
Finally, we were wowed by the relaxed , friendly atmosphere. The rooms were also well organized. The kitchen had full service and the meals were well worth it!

Try the offered limo cello and plum port-like wine!

Room Tip: We had the mela suite for four with the kitchen. 2 bed rooms with kitchen/sitting room between. Goo...
