We were only able to stay in this hotel for one night in September, but wished we could have stayed for a week....
A beautifully maintained old stone house , unpretentious but extremely comfortable, looking onto a typical English cottage garden and croquet lawn at the back, the local church beyond ,all within a very picturesque small village.
Our bedroom, No. 7, whilst very comfortable and quite spacious, with a larger than usual bathroom, was quite plainly furnished .
We managed to have lunch, breakfast and dinner at the hotel ,and found the food uniformly excellent, which did not surprise us , as we had found the hotel through 'The Good Food Guide 2012'.
The staff at this hotel were all exceptionally friendly and helpful. They could not do enough for us, and made us feel totally 'at home' . We would love to return for a longer stay .
