Warm comfortable rooms. Plenty of space. Hotel also has a pool open to residents.
Very good restaurant for evening meals and the usual excellent Van der Valk breakfast.

The hotel is located near Edam, has all the facilities for business meetings with plenty of conference rooms, etc. It has a good spa and a good restaurant. The rooms are large and quiet. The only failure I could find are the pillows, way to high, most of the people in our group complained about it.

The rooms have lots of space (more than the average hotelroom) , tidy, clean and the service is great.
The standard continental breakfast that is served as a buffet is excellent and offers more than the mouth can take.
The Service in the bar, restaurant and reception is better than in the average hotels
Van der Valk Volendam is not only perfect for bussness trips, but also for Family trips. Amsterdam, Volendam and other famous Dutch tourist spots are nearby

Came for a weekend break with a group of girlfriends and had a lovely stay at the Van Der Valk. The hotel is spotlessly clean and the rooms are finished to a high standard. I loved the bathroom and it was the most comfortable bed i have ever slept in. Some of the girls made it down to the pool although i didnt, they said it was very nice. We enjoyed drinks in the bar but didnt eat in the hotel so couldnt comment.

We travelled into Amsterdam each day to take in the sights including the Van Gough Gallery and Ann Franks museum, both well worth seeing. We bought a card (very like an Oyster card in London) and loaded money on for our bus and tram journeys. Only 25 minutes out to the hotel and it was a pleasant journey.
