We stayed here for 1 nite, after having a nice dinner in de Bilt.
We received the old standard room, which were probably in style in the seventies....
The room was clean enough but there was nothing else. Terrible view, stains on the couch, a mattrass that slipped of the bed with every turn, fungus in the bathroom and even the outdated radio wasnt working.... Check out the pictures and see for yourself.
When complained the next morning the desk lady could not be bothered and just answered... we do have some newer rooms......???
Don't stay here!

The rooms are in desperate need of an update. As the other reviewers have posted, this isn't near anything but it is close to some major roads so you can get to other places conveniently. The breakfast buffet was very good but you're paying for the convenience of not having to walk 20 minutes into the closest town, de Bilt. Stay here only if you absolutely have to. Heat in room didn't work that well, but at least the showers were hot.

I had a meeting at Utrecht University and stayed 3 nights in this hotel. It was convenient to the university, but it was nothing special and pretty far removed from Utrecht (about a 20 Euro cab ride to the Utrech Central train station). No restaurants next door... had to walk about 20 minutes into the town of de Bilt. The rooms were cold and worn. The rooms were definitely in need of some new carpet and upholstery. The room just seemed very tired and dingy. The rooms were very cold and even when the radiator was turned all the way up, it never got very warm in the room.

The breakfast buffet was very good and a good variety of food. It was included into the room price of (97.5 Euros per night, 85 euro for the room only). The common areas seemed to be much better kept than the rooms themselves. All in all, I would only stay here again if they had renovated the rooms and improved the heating situation so that it wasn't so cold in the rooms. Only stay in this hotel if it's convenient to where you need to be.

A large hotel on a busy road, but not bad if you are on business in the area or en route.

Checking in and out was efficient and the staff were friendly and helpful. We had dinner and the menu was quite extensive but the food was average.

My room was quite large but tired and in need of freshening up. The bed was uncomfortable.

The breakfast was good except that the coffee-maker broke down and it took quite a while for coffee to appear.

Overall, it is a big hotel which will need some renovation soon. Easy to get to and fine for a one-night stay.
