My wife and I stayed here for one night only during the end of Sep 2011. Thankfully it was just for one night. Upon arrival, the front desk staff were friendly and the service was adequate. We then arrived to our room and found it overall to be quite worn. The bed mattress was so worn that we could feel the supporting structure thus not condusive to a good night's rest. The shower enclosure consisted of three sides closed by a plastic curtain. The floor of the shower was on the same plane with the floor of the bathroom with no water barrier. Therefore the water flooded the enitre bathroom with each shower. There is also no in-room climate control. We made our dissatisfaction known to the front desk attendant the following morning and they did not discount the cost of the room but offerred complimentary breakfast buffet. Not really a fair trade considering the we had no sleep and a high level level of discomfort. We cannot recommend this hotel and will not return unless major renovations are made.

“Beware of the moat”
Nice comfortable hotel, probably the only one in Bodegraven which is worth a visit particularly for beer lovers. Only a few minutes bus ride from the centre of town, but beware of the moat around the hotel. Also beware of the busy main road which you have to cross from the bus stop. Access for pedestrians really could be improved. For motorists it's perfect being right next to the motorway. Best way in is via the McDonalds car park.
I was surprised to see that they allow dogs in the restaurant which doesn't seem very hygenic.

“Renovated rooms, nice breakfast”
For little money we've stayed here one night. The nicely decorated, renovated room had a French balcony, separate shower and bathtub. The hotel is situated near the highway and Mc Donalds. The breakfast was good and included a fried egg, fresh fruit, chocolate rolls, croissants and muffins. The staff was friendly.
