One terrific staffer spoke good English-- Theophilus Gilbert should get a raise! This hotel is really remote, we did not have a rental car, and the weather was horrible, cold and rainy in late July, so perhaps we shouldn't be too critical. But I can't say that we're eager to return. The room was clean and comfortable, but there was a very strange odor that would not go away-- maybe cleaning supplies? Couldn't open the windows because there were mosquitos. Hallways were dark and sterile. The breakfast buffet was elaborate, and the salad and wine we had on the outdoor terrace for dinner were lovely. But that's about all the good news. The hotel offers bikes, but the bike paths don't go very far. We never got to take out a boat or try any other outdoor activities because the weather was so lousy. Only spent one night here then moved to another hotel in Brandenburg to be closer to civilization. All in all not a good choice for us, but perhaps it would be better for German speakers with a rental car, when weather cooperates.
